I've heard the one where Marty get's shot on the rooftop of Biff's. There's a problem with that -- Biff already fired five shots, and that is a Smith and Wesson model 60 -- it only holds 5! So if he were to try to shoot Marty on the roof, the gun would have simply clicked LOL. Also Marty KNEW doc was waiting there off the edge, because doc had to have dropped him off on the roof. Remember when Biff said "hey how did you get past security downstairs?????"

The only thing I can think of is that going to the future is futile because it doesn’t matter how many times you change it, as soon as you go back to your present, that future no longer exists. And another thing. Marty wouldn’t have existed in the future because he left 1985! Everyone in his present time would have thought him and Doc just disappeared, never to be seen again!

Just watched this and after watching through numerous videos explaining everything, I feel like I understand a lot of the symbolism and analogies, but there is one competing theory across KZbin on one item, that is, who was the REAL character and what evidence do we have of it? The Mother's comments lead me to believe it is indeed Adam and that Anthony is imagined. BUT if that was true then why would he be so conflicted and concerned over Fatherhood and commitment? If Anthony was indeed imagined then the conflict wouldn't exist at all.

He would have known about the hanging as it was in his past even though it was also the same time he was living in. I would know everything that happened i the 3rd movie as it was all before he got there. He didn't need a time machine to be there for the hanging as he would already have known about it prior to going back in time.
