As I cant see it: does the cowbell and finger snaps come from a computer/drum machine? Awesome performance, I love it.

I always listened to DJ Harrison and assumed he was a DJ that used samples. Nope he is an incredibly talented instrementalist. This session was mindblowing!

Can't like this enough. 3rd time watch through. Wish it was longer and more in depth. INCREDIBLE guests and format. Need Nate to talk more about those "four fills" he has "built a career on"

Sometimes when she goes certain places for a moment it’s like I’m hearing Nina, then she says hello and comes back to Melanie.

I am content consumer and the format Melanie described is exactly what I want. Take it to the street, the park, the block party. Make it fun for the whole family to enjoy. Organize with the local business community in hipster cities near major airports who want to support the whole circus who can unpack, rest a bit, plop up a tent at a park, and boost local economies. The people want to dance, they’re just afraid. Let local leaders decide on how to award and encourage the best dance moves so they can claim credit when their city is recognized as cool. Encourage wealthy intellectuals to form and fund a network of community bands who can provide some gear and host a benefit gala/hodown for a good cause that matters to the community.

Magnificent episode. Such good music and conversation. What was said about people being asleep at the jazz concert: as an audience member, I will get out of it what I put into it. The more I engage, the more I enjoy it. That goes for every style and genre of music, but jazz and classical are the worst about not encouraging a little more audience engagement. Make the album
