Toffee is my very favorite, but I've never made it until watching this video today. It is cooling now, but I had trouble not eating it while it was still a little chewy. SO good! I'm afraid this was TOO easy to make because now I'll make more often

i just made these, and im so happy. They came out amazing. I added semi-sweet chocolate, which i think added some good flavor, but it does somewhat overpower the pumpkin taste, unfortunately. Otherwise, everything was perfect. The texture was both crunchy and chewy/gooey how I like it, dont let the amount of flour alarm you it will not come out cakey!!!

Depending on your cooktop, you may have to turn the heat down to medium heat, especially if it’s an electric cooktop. I added that to the description and the recipe on my website. All cooktops are different, I hope this helps! Please try again and let me know how it turns out. 🙂

Hi! I always like baking my pecan pies long enough, at least an hour and fifteen minutes, until the filling puffs and slightly cracks. As it cools, the filling should set up. It’s similar to the texture of a pecan pie. Somewhat gelled and a little gooey, but still firm enough to hold the shape of a slice. How long did yours bake? All ovens are different, so I would say 1 hour 15 minutes, or until the filling puffs and crackles across the top. You could try chilling to help set up. Also, wait for the pie to cool completely before cutting. I usually bake mine the night before, and serve the next day. I hope this helps! Thanks 👩🏻‍🍳🙂

Looks awesome. I love cinnamon rolls. When I make them at home, I always make my French cream vanilla frosting to put on the top. It is my favorite frosting and is so delicious. I am going to have to make some of these this winter.

@@DoubleStopBakeShop This is the French cream frosting that my mom always made. I have used it my whole life. Recipe is 5 Tbls flour and 1 cup of milk cooked on stove on medium to medium high. Stir the whole time until it comes together and will thicken into a paste. Take it off the heat and let it cool completely. In a mixing bowl add one cup of sugar and two sticks of cold butter. Cream them together, then add the paste mixture. Mix this up for 5-10 minutes until really creamy. You can add 1 tsp of vanilla if you want also. Tips, if the flour and milk part is not thickening, just add more flour. For the butter part, I use Land of Lakes margarine, and the frosting turns out perfect. In the past when I used something cheaper, the frosting didn't turn out with the same texture it should have. More droopy. Enjoy if you try it. This is the double recipe that I use for big cakes. You might want to cut it in half for 4 cinnamon rolls.
