I have a Biddieford heated blanket but the controller does not turn on anymore (sometimes when I flick the button more, then it seems to flash but the indicator lights won't stay on) I have been freezing, and searching for new placements. Not only it is expensive to get a new electric blanket, their ratings are so low as well. I am a huge person on fixing stuff, than buying new stuff and toss old. However, I don't know if it is the wire having issues as well that it does not heat up, or just the controller. The controller itself with shipping is around 25$bucks What should I do?

My ON button doesn’t light up, but my GFCI light is on, but when I hit the reset button the GFCI just blink and stays green and you can hear a click and the machine wants to start but it doesn’t start, and when I tried to hit the test button nothing happened. I don’t know what to do, if you can help me that would be awesome Thanks.🙏

Is it possible to know the grit
@DakotaBusy21 күн бұрын
I don’t believe they say a grit number like sandpaper. They label them as very course, course, medium,… etc. Either way, you will need to sand after. Then you can pick the appropriate grit for that part.

I have a vintage NOS General Electric blanket that I tried using a few nights ago. It was heating, but not as much as it should have. I'm going to try this; also, I'm going to polish the pins with emory cloth to remove any oxidation and use a pin to dig any gunk out of the receiving holes in the controller cord. Thank you!

ATTENTION PEOPLE: PLEASE WATCH UNTIL THE VERY END OF VIDEO FOR SIMPLE SOLUTION/FIX!!! I was initially going to click off this video because I was like, WTF.. I don’t have a soldering kit and I’m sure as heck not going to open up the components like that! But he is just showing us all of that as part of his thorough explanation. The solution/fix does NOT require any of that. Just FYI for those might feel intimidated by initially seeing the components opened up like that: You won’t have to do any of that! I almost missed the ending, but happy I watched the whole thing. Thank you, sir, for posting this video!!

Many many thanks! I followed your instruction today and fixed my toothbrush in 30 min, and saved at least $100 for a new one, which I almost ordered this morning😅. I have a different model but I am surprised how similar the key components are inside.

Wow!! Great video. Super clear and informative. Thank you. I can't tell you what a big deal electric blankets have been in the history of this family. They work for a while, and then they die. We do know how to care for them and we rarely if ever wash them for fear of damage...besides, the entire blanket is double wrapped in a sheet. So we never have to unplug it. We don't cram them under the bed. But they eventually just die. You've motivated me. Thanks

This might explain why my electric Ryobi runs for 10 minutes, then won't turn back on for another 10-15 minutes. I thought it might be some sort of thermal protection on the motor, but even while blowing a powerful fan on the unit, it would still cut out. I have since replaced it with a gas pressure washer but I would like to keep this one going for smaller jobs, so I am going to check this pressure switch. We have very hard water here, so chances are the switch is gunked up and needs cleaning. Thanks for the tip!

Wow I had been a computer tech but worked only on windows computers. Bot my sons use Mac machine, both of them are Mac crazy! They passed on their working unit to my husband and he picked up working knowledge using that iMac. And every time my sons upgrade their Mac units my husband is benefitted getting their spared unit. Now the first iMac was working till I had to disconnect everything as we moved to another place and tried to hook up at new place, it is not booting up. I am moving again, so it does not make any sense to take the dead computer with us. I wish I had time to put this dead iMac on bench and taken out the hard drive. I think I will take it to Best buy or Staples who could help me take out the hard drive with service charge of course, but I don't know how much it will cost me! 😀 But at least I can take out the hard drive and let go the rest of the Mac unit. Thanks for the video.

Thanks so much for the demonstration. Just wonder if you have any other recommended docking station since the one you listed is no loner available. I'm also hoping to remove a drive from an old 2012 iMac to save some remaining data. Anyway, thanks again!

It worked! I forgot to wrap the base with a towel so it’s banged up 🥲 but it works like new…and considering the awful reviews the new sonicare models are getting, I’m satisfied.
@earlchristian21663 ай бұрын
Thanks for the video. I put my Sonicare in a vice and pried the end out with a sharp screwdriver, pulled out the guts and tightened the screw. What a piece of junk. Why would a $100 device have a loose screw?
