I currently have chunks of 2x4 ("blocks") between the back legs of my couch and the wall so when my kids plop on the couch it can't push back into the wall. This is a nice and easy honey-do project to replace those. LOL I like that it is very narrow, as our space is small. Thank you for keeping it simple!

Thanks. Appreciate the simplicity of your video. Like the outlet you used - seems would be simpler to install than the rectangular ones I initially found. Have a sectional that is about 125” wide that I want to use something like this behind. It would be between the wall and sectional - basically only the top would be visible when sitting on the sectional. Trying to decide if I should split it into 2 - 3 of these . . .

Thank you for the clear video. When you were drilling the pilot holes at 4:36, did you glue the top down first or balance it and hope it doesn't move?
@DakotaBusy2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t glue the top down, I just made sure my base wasn’t wobbly and then screwed the top on. It has been fine behind our couch, as it is sandwiched between the couch and wall. It gets used almost every night.

How long is it in total. I'm about to build a 9'7" version and I think this design will be more stable option
@DakotaBusy3 жыл бұрын
Mine is 56” long. 9’7”...that will be awesome! You could have a couple power grommets on that bad boy!

What is the width for the top? 6 inches? 8 inches?
@DakotaBusy3 жыл бұрын
I have mine at 5”. I wouldn’t go much smaller if you plan on putting one of those power grommets in.

This is perfect! I’m making my material list tonight to build this tomorrow. What length screws did you use on the legs?
@DakotaBusy3 жыл бұрын
I believe I used 2 1/2” screws.

How tall is this?
@DakotaBusy2 жыл бұрын
It is 27” tall, it sits about 2” lower than the back of my couch. I wanted it to not be seen when you walked into my living room.
