He has/had Nolbles' most disturbing that were not shown here. Many now have been donated to the Corcoran Gallery and others... "gifts from Tony Podesta" Tony and his brother John Podesta (chief of staff to bill clinton and Hillary Clintons right hand man) were said to be 2 blocks away from where Jean Bonet Rasmey was found dead in her family house/mansion. The parents were at dinner with them a couple days after her dreath. They match police scetch artist drawings that match the Podesta brothers, who are said to be seen leaving the crime scene. A quick google search will show the match. I read the released Podesta emails exposing molestation, child trafficking and more. I wonder if she was exposed to the Podesta's or some of their friends and could be why Tony Podesta is attracted to her art.

The speculation of what “reference” may be happening in the painting is just that, a speculation. Stop trying so hard to understand and learn to feel. I say this as an artist myself whom usually chooses dark art as it comes naturally. It’s not a statement or revelation, it’s just a feeling and vision. The same holds true for lyrical artists, often what they say is just a rhyme not a reason and it the observer that gives the meaning not the creator. Just as a paper is blank before I put an image on it, it has a blank meaning until the observer puts a meaning to it. Comprende?

I see someone who is deeply uncomfortable with the body yet dedicated to understanding it and it’s relationship to identity. The body is often a vessel for conformity to be enforced on and displayed through. Those uncomfortable with conformity may experience a type of dysmorphia where they feel their body is insufficient at representing their identity in some way- we often associate this feeling with gender dysmorphia but it takes other forms as well. Hard to speculate on what his gender identity was but I do think his deconstruction of the female body points to a human curiosity about what exactly it is that makes men and women, and thus the expectations they’re held to, different. A natural question arises of what it might be like to be in another body. Would it alter people’s expectations of us, their treatment? Are we something beyond our bodies or are we so shaped by expectations put on us that it becomes impossible to separate our identity from our body? Even asking these questions is inherently anti-fascist since fascism depends at the very root on conformity. It relieson depersonalizing and dehumanizing people to the point that they are mere bodies who must act out their given roles, woe be to anyone who does not quietly comply.
