I love the fact that art like this can also enhance the local ecosystems they inhabit.

Water is such a welcoming element. Every time you stare at a beautiful deep ocean it's just begging you to dive in. Water is the mother of many creatures and she tries her hardest to manage all of them. Sometimes it's fun to pretend that you live in the ocean. Like you're sitting in your living room, and all of its contents are submerged into the sea. Like the two lands, the one where we breathe, and the one where the fish breath are the same.

Water is life but to me the ocean is different. Many people have a fear of the deep ocean. I'd like to believe it's a deep instinctual remnant to protect us and reminds us we evolved to escape the ocean because of something there waiting.

Made something like this and wanted to call it Harmony Reef. Unfortunately, the fishermen themselves bashed and destroyed the installations by anchoring their boats on them. My heart broke into a million pieces.

That's heartbreaking -- and such a perfect example of why we have a problem in our oceans in the first place

Sorry to hear that ☹️ I hope some day you can find the motivation to try it again sometime. There must be ways to get local permission to section off the area of your work from boats and leave it only for divers/snorkelers. Don't give up!

I would die from fright if I saw that shark without warning. Or even with warning.

OMG I LOVE THESE ONES!! Though my favourite underwater sculptures are the House of Fish/Casa dei Pesci on the Maremma coastline, not only do they look awesome, they help to stop the illegal trawling that happens just off the coast there. I'm not gonna elaborate, but!!! They look so awesome! I'm so happy that you covered this subject, thank you!

This video was beautiful. It really helped me reset after that veiled, "Me being an asshole to everyone is a valid form of expression," art-style of that Nobody Jr. guy. This is the kind of art I completely understand and appreciate. :) I can't ever imagine visiting it though!

bit more silly than the examples here but in Minnesota there's a floating underwater sculpture of Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th part 7!

Wow! This was fascinating. I have never heard of these sculptures before! Great video! I have an idea for you for a video, and I may have already said this, but-ALICE NEEL. She was so interesting and my great grandmom actually went to the Philadelphia school for the arts for women with her! My Mimi(who was also an artist) knew her! I promised myself I was sending you pics of my art to your email this week, and I chickened out again! Lol soon! I promised myself, even if you don't do anything with it.😊
