i often compare Lupe to ludacris (not in terms of styles) but by the simple fact that i would never bill either of them as the best rapper ever... but then when asked who is better i am often at a lost for words... if that makes sense

While I'm on the Israeli side of this conflict, this video was very emotional, and although I object to some points raised by the narrator, I recognize the suffering this conflict has bought both sides. If the Muslims can accept us and stop seeking the death and destruction of the Jewish state, we can all work together towards building something better, something beautiful.

The shows about how different realities don't cheapen or make relationships. Everyone wishes their realities were different and many times they should be and we should fight for freedom, but our value is in our relationships. The show uses surrealism, to what I theorize, are alternate universes that move seemlessly throughout the show. No we are not inside darius's mind, the last ep was nothing more than a clue to the whole of the show. But the beauty of the show, is that regardless of your reality, your relationships are valuable and the the different realities don't effect their value.

"Of one thing we can be fairly confident: religion is likely to be the plane on which this coming centripetal counter-movement will first declare itself... . If our first precept should be to study our own history, not on its own account but for the part which the West has played in the unification of mankind, our second precept, in studying History as a whole, should be to relegate economic and political history to a subordinate place and give religious history the primacy. For religion, after all, is the serious business of the human race."

Dune represents the rise of Economic Globalism & Cold War Era fear. Dune is a wonderful Science Fiction of its day. I, myself remember Nuclear Strike drills in elementary school. We would be safe under our old school desks.

It's crazy how frank Herbert used Islam as a backdrop for themes that propelled the narrative of the main character and YET, the main character is no hero he's actually the villain. Makes you think of his view on the actual religion itself also.

I think certain people like line as much as they do cus his obvious arrogance and holier than though perspective makes you all feel vindicated. Lupe would rather talk down to his people than uplift them. Why ? Cus he dosent see himself as apart of the community he thinks he’s better than everyone and I’m not talking rapping

I appreciate your honesty in the perspective. Seeing Kendrick turn this into a half-time show at the superbowl leaves a sour taste. Kendrick becoming a champion of the same system he points his finger to in disgust leaves me hollow. He will be remembered for 'Not like Us' to the masses, when we needed 'Alright' to be the swan song of his message.

You missed the biggest direct influence on Rust: the supernatural pessimism of Thomas Ligotti. In "The Conspiracy Against the Human Race" Ligotti explicitly lays out the case for voluntary Human extinction. He argues that this logical result of the futility of conscious awareness and the burden it places on the sole surviving hominids.

Very well scripted and researched video! Although, I do think many missed a large point that Frank Herbert inserted into Dune. Dune, at it's core, is a critique on religion. Not a celebration. He shows how religion can be weaponized and how it can be used to manipulate people. Dune is exclusively against the three abrahamic religions. Dune shows a man-made prophet take advantage of an entire group of people through the vail of religion to rage a war on his behalf. Paul in this story is a metaphor for Jesus, Muhammad, and Moses. I see many people here taking Dune as propping up Islam which is completely missing the obvious point of the book.

There’s so much to this show and its themes that it gets difficult to pin point and articulate what it does so well, but you did just that here. Great video!
