Howdy Cap! Just subscribed like the education. Do you have or could you make a video of what baitfish ans kings looks like on the graph? I hear that’s a huge part of getting on them. Thanks for posting!!! Liked the part about “S” trolling the reefs

Ahh cool, yeah I was asking if you had a video of what the screen looks like when you find bait ans mackerel. I assume it’s clouds for bait ans arches for fish. But have not been able to find a KZbin video yet of someone showing that on the water. Like tutorial of driving over bait and fish and showing what it looks like.

its a great vid, I too rig hundreds a year. I like the smaller black rubber bands people use for hair braids and dread locks. They're cheaper and stronger and look cleaner with less rubber. It will make them less bulky, although if your putting a lure head over it it doesn't matter anyways

Nice work. How are you cleaning the tanacoms?
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing 5 күн бұрын
With fresh water from an adjustable hose nozzle, I soak the braid with the setting on shower mode, then I get the rest of the reel, the motor, handle, digital display, in mist mode... Then I dry it off. you don't really want to get this stuff too wet, so if you're out fishing, and it's getting soaked running you'll want to try and dry it off periodically. That way it lasts. I've had mine for about five or six years now and haven't had to have it serviced yet.

How fast do like trolling this set-up? Faster to target wahoo? Thanks for your time.
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing
@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing 5 күн бұрын
troll it 6 mph... no faster. Same speed for wahoo. On top this technique, instead of breaking off the tag, you'll want to keep it and use it as a pin to stick up through the beak of the ballyhoo. I've got another video that shows you how to pin rig a bally. Here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqHRoZammrSmeKs You'll want to learn how to do this, It'll keep the ballyhoo from curling up.

How do you avoid snagging weeds when trolling?

Usually trolling 9-10 mph helps avoid the weeds... Going slower you tend to pick them up. Then again it's all part of trolling

Thanks Heath! Tuesday next week is our day! Quick question... what is the best way to catch rainbow runners (phenomenal sashimi)? We see them around the boat sometimes, and tend to drift small bait (small minnows, etc) on a small hook, and get some hookups, but is there a better way?

Not trying to sound like an a$$ but you do a lot of cutting back towards yourself. Be careful man. Im a medic on the gulf coast and have seen some bad cuts with some really bad from guys cutting back towards themselves while filleting fish. Your review was great though. I use Dexter fillet knives mostly except for my vintage Uncle Henry.
