Maybe Argo can go look at military tracked armored personnel carriers like the M113 it can be propelled by its tracks in the water. It seams you would want the tracks on to cross soft terrain and to enter and exit the water.

Needs another 5" of ground clearance. Problem with my 1000cc CanAm SXS is cab noise, was hoping for some quieter machines. Like the machine, especially the single stick steering.

It has changed quite a bit Used to be completely open and turn with levers now you can get a full cab with climate control and a steering wheel The core design hasn't changed because that is how it can do what it does, it's a true all terrain vehicle and is fully amphibious something you can't get with most other power sport type machines

I saw a video with a tracked one in winter. It was more capable than a snowmobile and had a vinyl enclosure.

I live in northern Ontario, and snowmobiles are seen as more of a toy than a work vehicle. HDATVs are the way to go.

After Argo was sold to a US company from the original Canadian company, the prices went ridiculously high. And I really dislike the Kohler engine.

Good review, but the audio gets really shoddy once the helmet goes on. You need to look into a different helmet that doesn't cover up your mouth so much, or that integrates a microphone, like many modern motorcycle helmets. Cheers.

The beeper would be the very first thing removed! And if those tracks aren't made for water use, why would anyone even bother installing them. I have 2 friends who have argos and they certainly don't have the time or money to change the tracks if they won't work for all conditions. Basically what argo is saying is these tracks are a joke!

So wide and so low is it's downfall, the safe terrain to operate this on without worrying about get hung up on a utility side by side would be way more economical and you would be able to buy two of them around the same price

The only downfall of a UTV side by side is that they aren't amphibious, while the ARGO is.

Different tools for different jobs. If you have a remote cabin or hunt in the swamps and skeg, argo is unmatched. Price is wild though.

2000 lb tow capacity, 1 ton ?? So no one should use it to move most cars or tractors or equipment around the farm... That's like the single most important thing about a utility vehicle... it's not exactly a recreational vehicle is it ? Or, if it is?? It's not the one you really want.

These things although neat are pretty useless in about 90% of scenarios. Slow. Which means getting work done takes longer. Maintenance heavy track system. Over priced for what they are. About the only thing it’s good for is that it floats and I’m pretty sure there’s a sidexside out there that can do that as well. So muskeg. I don’t see any benefit to this machine other than for an oil company or like company up north. And for what you get for the dollars like sxs’s is less. Less fun. Less ground clearance. Too wide Less suspension. And who’s gonna rescue when you’re the only one in muskeg. The price and not enclosed. Wow. Buy a sxs 6x6 put tracks on it. Done.
