You could check the willow water as a rooting hormone. I am curious about how well it works myself. I wonder if you can see that comment lol

Could you slice the small rockwool and put the seed inside the rockwool to make sure roots go down into the water rather than waiting to see?

Aloe DOEs work to promote "growing from cuttings" but not as a root stimulator. It is an excellent fungal/bacterial suppressant which, for some plants, kills the cutting before it can grow roots to support itself. I started coating Plumeria paduca cuttings, letting dry for one hour, then plant in moist soil and went from 60% success to nearly 100% success. Paducas can be slow to root so I found the aloe to support them in the interim, as with other slow-rooting plants. As a commercial grower, it was very helpful so that I now grow a crop of aloe to have ample supplies near the propagation house.

Great video! The majority of additives sold are just money grabs. Focusing on keeping everything simple and managing PH, EC and Temperature in the optimal range will result in better growth than buying expensive products.

When mixing the nutrient solution, you mix all three to the ration specified with how much water your using and dump it in? I saw some hydro solutions saying apply to foliage, and apply to plants base etc.

The boiling water clearly kills the anti-microbial qualities of the honey. Archaeologists have pulled 3000 year old honey from Egyptian Tombs. They rehydrated the honey and had it for lunch. Trust the honey. All by itself. Nicely done video! Thank you!

Tap is probably fine, depending on the quality of your local water. Distilled will always be perfect/better. I usually just use tap water though and have no issues.

Spring Willow bark in a blender with kelp meal infused with honey. Skip the kelp meal to save money. Grow willow trees and raise bees and you have sustainable rooting hormone. You don’t even need the honey if you use it fresh but I need it in fall but the willow bark is better when harvested in spring so the honey is a preserving agent.

i threw some newly germinated seeds into 1/3 strength solution. Cotton is the media. The plants seem to be doing fine and developed their first leaves , 2 of the 5 developed a root going into the water themselves, and the solution doesn't seem to be killing the plants. Seems to work without all the extra steps mentioned here. Since i'm a novice i have no clue when to go to full strength solution tho...

I'm growing red pine from seeds that I harvested also. It's the first time I've ever tried to grow anything from seeds. I soaked my seeds in water for 24-48 hours without cold stratification and many of them began growing within two weeks. It's now three weeks since I put them into the soil and many of them are already 2 inches tall. Perhaps the soaking in water really helps?

I would guess that they only want to sell it as food and if it isn't viable or doesn't grow they're not responsible. If it has roots, chances are you could grow it!
