Anyone that builds a submarine and brags about using aerospace technology is screwed. They should have used submariner technology.

Also as as sub vet, subs do not use superheated steam. They use saturated steam.

Most of this video is garbage. As a submarine veteran most of the information is incorrect and designed to sound sensationalistic. As a simple example he says that heating for the crew spaces is provided by steam. It is not, it is supplied by electric heaters located in the duct work. Routing steam throughout the ship would greatly increase the risk of a steam leak in a much larger area of the boat. Without going into detail, submarine crews are well trained to respond in the event of a steam leak, among many other adverse events. Also, even though the channel is titled Navy Productions, it is not an official site of the U. S. Navy. Just another way to mislead the general public. I have reported this video.

If this ship cost 13bollion then the ford class nuclear aircraft carriers real cost was 45billion not 12billion that was reported.

This was the most inaccurate presentation I have ever heard. Steam release from a submarine is always very controlled. We would do steam generator blowdowns to help control chemistry in the steam generators as needed. But that was always very coordinated and almost always optional. The biggest steam related noise was propeller cavitation when the propeller turn too fast and caused cavitation in the sea water at the tips of the propellers which can be detected by others. This has nothing to do with the propulsion steam. Also the steam is not directly used for heating a sub for comfort. In fact if you don’t have enough air conditioning coolers you can’t stay submerged for long. We had 3 massive air conditioners (cooling units) to prevent over heating in the sub underway. We even had one unit that used steam to cool the subs living space. It was a lithium bromide unit. You are putting out totally inaccurate information. You are either ignorant of submarine operations or just a coner. If you don’t know what that is, ask a nuc.

Stockton Rush cut too many corners on Titan and he paid for it. Engineers on the project were fired if they raised safety concerns. His big ego and lack of engineering standards killed him and his passengers.

There is so much wrong with this, i don't know where to begin. Do you research any of this before you post it online. Not only is the bridge not restricted, sailors are encouraged to participate in training programs to become qualified as watch officers navigators and helmsman. As part of this training, I personally have driven two aircraft carriers. It is up to the sailor to take the initiative to want to be part of the bridge crew. 22 years retired enlisted aviation sailor
