It saddens me when people talk about rats the way they do. I had acacia rats for 10 years. Firstly, historians believe it was actually gerbils and not rats that were the carriers of the bubonic plague. "Rats" was more a colloqueal term for rodents back then. Rats are merely adaptable survivors, moreso than many other rodent species, and as they are smaller, more can survive in a given space. Wild rabbits and wild rats are both pest animals, but rabbits are more widely considered "cute". I strongly recommend anyone reading this watches the BuzzFeedVideo video "People Play With Rats For The First Time". They are greatly misunderstood animals. The point is, a rat is not "just a rat". Show more respect for them.

@@StitchesLovesRats they still eat cattle feed, they still spread disease by urinating everywhere they go and defecating everywhere they go. I’m not saying they are unintelligent creatures, but they are pests and carry nasty things. Unlike rabbits, rats, scratch claw and bite unlike rabbits which also is a good way to get bad infections. They are very dirty creatures.

150m? Surely that's around 3 times the absolute maximum range you're likely to be shooting an Air Rifle anyway?
@andysrange878922 күн бұрын
@@Docv400 sure is. Really though you want to be able to see what’s behind whatever you are shooting at for safety reasons and if there are any other opportunities that you could stalk into range :)

Really glad to see this guy has seen the light and stopped pouring petrol on the fire of the antis against shooting, by stopping showing himself shooting wildlife without justification against the rules that govern what he's doing. Everyone who actually knows what they're doing is now free of this idiot and can pursue some meaningful and justifiable conservation.

Having studied this channel and many of the comments and replies from its several years of content, maybe he's been away for so long because ........ the penny has finally dropped that what he's doing here is damaging the reputation of legitimate air rifle shooters in the eyes of those in the general public who are on the anti-shooting band wagon, by posting video footage of indiscriminate and gratuitous killing of birds for the personal satisfaction and vanity of it....... but I doubt it! This is the fellow who doesn't volunteer any information when asked in comments by viewers, about the justified reason for the 'pest control' killings he showcases, who (a) ask about legality under interpretation of the UK General Licence for circumstances of specific shots shown, or (b) for guidance to learn about what they might consider in their own shooting, who are seeking advice from someone they erroneously consider to be an 'expert'. Neither does he appear to have any regard for safety considerations e.g. as in this video taking an elevated shot at a pigeon, without any commentary about what lies behind it if he misses and therefore why it is a safe shot, albeit on the face of it looking illegal without any justification being provided for the use of lethal means of pest control either (he has omitted to show any more vane selfie footage of himself making a noise or waving his arms about to scare off the bird that it has belligerently ignored, before killing it as a last resort). And let's not forget that this is the lad who, several years ago when this channel first appeared, posted a video of himself shooting wood pigeons from his bedroom window, that were feeding from a bird table in his back garden, claiming the legal justification was 'to protect the bird seed put out onto the table for the song birds to feed on'..... he only took the video down after sustained lobbying by an enraged air rifle community in video comments and in the Airgun Forum... the references to which still remain there. I'm sure he would deny it but should consider very carefully before doing so, that KZbin Mate and several other downloaders were unrestricted at the time, so would be risking some serious embarrassment should the video reappear unexpectedly. This person most likely is exactly what he comes across as; a city boy who just likes killing things for fun in his spare time... exactly the sort of person the anti shooting campaigners target to tarnish everybody with an airgun, and gifting them with all the evidence they need to demonise airgun owners as irresponsible people who must be licensed, or for air rifles to be banned completely. Well done Andy... super job - NOT!

I neither need nor wish to have a conversation with you. Using social media to try to create an illusion of being seen to have responded, whilst yet again avoiding addressing the points made, insults your readership and propagates your denial. My views and challenges, with clear reasoning, are provided here publicly already. The onus lies with you to either respond publicly with the justifications that are not apparent in your videos, or else to stop posting them. Either behave ethically in your shooting, and explain why it is appropriate and lawful, or else stop fuelling the anti shooting community's cause by posting videos of gratuitously shooting wildlife for the sake of it.
