I'm glad you included Abigor in your list. Out of all the classics, Abigor is the most underrated. They should be just as popular as Burzum, Emperor, and etc. I find 'Opus IV' to be the Abigor album I constantly come back to, but 'Nachthymnen' is a close second.

They’re great. I think they probably don’t have a lot of listeners because they weren’t in the Norwegian scene where all of this blew up. I haven’t really dug too deep into their catalogue yeat, because I haven’t known them for that long, but I’ll check out Opus IV. So far I’ve only heard Nachthymnen and Orkblut, but from those, Nachthymnen is the superior one.

I just can't stand Silencer after listening to 'Dictius Te Necare' by Bethlehem. It is in the same vein of DSBM as 'Death-Pierce me", but I think 'Dictius Te Necare' is better in every way. That is just my opinion though.
@VikingStrengthBB

It is very similar, Silencer definitely takes a lot of influence from Bethlehem, but I respectfulky disagree. I find Death, Pierce Me superior in every way. But Dictius Te Necare is also a really good album honestly. I think it also has to do eith the fact that I have a very personal relationship with Silencer, I listened to them at a very weird time of my life, whereas when I listened to Bethlehem, there’s was nothing special happening.

@@VikingStrengthBB I guess we all have sentimental albums that we cherish more than other albums. I still think Agalloch is the best band ever even though I’ve listened to maybe 1000 albums since discovering them back in 2019. There are plenty of other albums that most would consider not that great that I have sentiment towards, so to each their own.

What I’ve found is that the funny part of the friendzone is that it never works. There’s no way to ‘just be friends’ anymore because the girl will start being more cold and harsh towards you. Follow his advice, kings
@VikingStrengthBB
@VikingStrengthBB Күн бұрын
Yeah, honestly what people realize is even if you escape the friendzone, it never works. That’s why I didn’t even mention it in the video, because I don’t want to give false hopes to people. But it is possible to escape the friend zone. I did it, I had a friend that did it. I can’t speak for him, but the girlfriend I had who friendzoned me before never gave a shit about me even after we got together. She eventually broke up with me after 9 months and honestly I was the stupid one for not leaving, because it’s pretty obvious to me now how one sided the whole thing was all along. I don’t know what my friend’s relationship was like after escaping the friendzone, but I know that eventually the girl broke up with him. So even if you escape on paper, you’ll pretty much never have a fulfilling relationship from it.

@@VikingStrengthBBYou’re right, it’s not. After the last date she said let's stay friends, she can't do this “dating stuff” because she's immature (22 yo btw) and she wants to travel next semester anyway (aka this year), don’t have time for a relationship... I felt bad thinking about it, but I was like "We were never really friends, how the hell could we stay friends...". But that's how it is, I admit. Anyway, it was hard to date her, I could barely get her to see me every ~2 weeks, and she kept talking about her own red flags, so yeah.. I’m OK it’s ended, whatever it really was 😂
@VikingStrengthBB
@VikingStrengthBB 9 сағат бұрын
Yeah some people just don't want to commit to a relationship or they get scared of intimacy or something and pull back but still pull off the "let's just be friends" card, cause they like the attention they're getting or they just like you as a person but don't want to date. I really recommend avoiding people like this. Most people aren't like this ofc, but the one's who are will fuck your life, if you fall for their games.

It's refreshing to see a "favorite BM albums" video that is not the same norwegian 90s classics over and over again, nor just the popular and trendy stuff, and actually showcases the richness and variety of the genre. By the way looking by your taste I think that you may like a black metal band from my home country Chile. They're called Sol Sistere, and their self titled album from 2021 really gets to experiment with progressive, emotional and post-bm stuff while remaining black metal. I saw them opening for HFTS when they played here and they're awesome :)))

My favorites are the albums during the Legion era but Opus nocturne is also a great album, "Sulphur souls" is one of my absolute top Marduk songs. i have bad knees and very limited range of motion and pain in one of my shoulders so i train with lighter weights and just do 10 - 15 instead of going heavy and doing 3 - 5. the gains aren't great but i'm not getting hurt and will probably get there eventually.
@VikingStrengthBB
@VikingStrengthBB 9 сағат бұрын
Are you pushing your knees completely forward on leg movements? Because that could be why your kness hurt and you have limited range of motion. If yes, you could try pushing them a little bit to the sides, not a crazy amount, just not completely forward. You can look at Alan Thrall's old squat videos, he talks about this and shows it. Also have you tried building up the movement you're trying to do? It sounds shitty, but it sometimes helps a lot to just start from a very low weight, like with the bar on squats and slowly build up by adding 5lbs every week and your joints will get used to the movement that way and they won't hurt when you get back to heavier loads. And you can do something in the meantime that doesn't hurt to maintain your leg size. Also I think low reps are very overrated. Don't be sad you can't train in 3-5, if your goal is just building muscle I think you're not missing out on anything. I think 6-12 is the sweet spot for most muscles for most lifts for hypertrophy and a couple of exercises like laterals are just better done with higher reps. From my experience legs grow better with higher reps, so something like an 8-12, so you're pretty good.

Dude...I rarely think "yeah this guy thinks just like me" and this is one of those rare videos that made me think that. Whenever I watch the redpill content on youtube it makes me cringe so bad. I think the mentality of "let's make a strategy to get girls and to be "successful" (they're always talking about money on this one and never happiness)" is so stupid and reduces men to emotionless little rats that try to sneak their way into a "playboy lifestyle" and that end having burnouts from only focusing in work. Also, if a man is happy and feels well in his life is never a topic, it's always about turning men into machines and totally fucking up their emotional intelligence. No one talks about being a balanced individual, no one talks about moderation, everything nowadays is about extremes. Cool to know there are other guys with intelligent views out there. Just subscribed. Also, I'm a big metalhead, so I really like this mix of content that you're making, you seem like an intelligent dude. Cheers from Portugal :)

Thanks man, really appreciate it! I think literally all dating advice that "works" could be reduced to just 1. be yourself, 2. self improvement 3. talk to women. And then people still come with the tactics and money all the time, even though these are usually the same people who want a "wife quality" girl who doesn't care about money and shit like that. But it's much easier to get people to watch with techniques and strategy, than with the truth. And also I think a problem is the techniques do probably work, they just won't ever get you into a HEALTHY relationship. I want to keep making videos on the topic, cause I wish my 14 old self had found these, instead of all the other shit, that's out there, but every time I think about any dating topic the end advice is always the same: just be a good person.

@@VikingStrengthBB WOW first time i get to recommend a "new guy" to death metal. I d prefer to gives you some blackned death since you come from black but im gonna give you also some old school death metal that people lovs to recommend. First my favourite BEHEMOTH. They started as black metal to became slowly blackned death metal. Favourite Album "the Apostasy" and "The satanisti" which is their best. Then MORBID ANGEL. Now 99% of the fan they ll you that Altar of madness is their best but to me is more "death-thrash" so i wanna give you the more death metal ones and im gonna recommend the Album "Covenant" (best songs in it are Rapture and God of emptiness) and "Domination". The something from the swedish current of death metal (yes as you realized by now death metal has alot of subgenres in it) DISMEMBER. They dont have a bad album but my favourite are "Massive Killing Capacity" and "Indecent and Obscene"(cause the last song here is my favourite, its called "Dreaming in Red). Back in America "Deicide" (only the first album). Dying Fetus with Destroy the opposition (the opening track is probably my favourite its called Praise the lord). For "slower" death metal i d say ASPHYNX's album "Last one on earth" (titletrack being again of my favourite of all time) or Obituary "Slowly we rot"

I've heard a couple of songs from Behemoth, but never a full album, so I'll def check that out. I gotta check out Dismember as well. I love Deicide. I've listened to the Dying Fetus album you were recommending today and I like it a lot. It reminds me of Suffocation. I also never heard of Asphynx, so I'll check them out. I probably only know like Death, Morbid Angel, Entombed, Possessed, Deicide, Suffocation, Obituary, Amon Amarth, Cryptopsy, Vital Remains, Belakor, Blood Red Throne and Angist.

@@VikingStrengthBB You should try Portal. They may sound really messy and incomprehensible at first, but they are the best Death Metal band ever. I recommend Portal because they are sometimes regarded as "Death Metal for Black Metal fans" considering that they prioritize the atmosphere before a "killer riff". Like I said, they are heavily atmospheric (specifically a Lovecraftian soundscape) and I think 'Outre' is the best death metal album of all time. I also suggest The Chasm, Mexican death metal at its finest. Any album by The Chasm is a good place to start.

Niceeee. Only thing is: Abigor - Nachthymnen ends with A Frozen Soul in a Wintershadow and the songs that come after are a different album, Orkblut.

i have to disagree on that the black metal elements doesn't work for kvelertak. i think it worked really well on their first album with songs like Ulvetid and Fossegrim.

Straight sets are just another way ti progressive overload. If you do straight sets you'll go up with weight, if you do rep ranges you'll first increase reps and then weight. It's also easier to track progress with them. I started doing 4x6 on curls, went up to 4x12, increased the weight till i could do 4x8, went up again to 4x12, and repeated the same process again.

but its so overwhelmingly inferior to rep range to failure sets (1-2 sets per exercise)
@S.O.A_Zero
@S.O.A_Zero Ай бұрын
@@oliver-pk3xj No. It depends on people, but for most they give the same results. The important thing is weekly volume with every set taken between 0-3 reps from failure. 2 sets to failure will give you the same results of 3 sets with 3 RIR, but the difference is that by training to failure you highly increase the risk of injury and your technique is going to get worse. Advanced BBs do straight sets and still grow, they work and always will. This is a good way to grow muscle, but there is no such thing as "the best". The important things are - Overall volume - Frequency - Intensity - Caloric surplus - Recovery

@@S.O.A_Zero Going from straight sets to a rep range definitely won't double your gains or anything crazy, but it is (if you can handle the freedom) better. I know science says you're going to die if you go to failure and 3RIR is the same, but in real life that doesn't seem to be the case. A lot of studies are not well executed, done on beginners who have no clue about RPE, etc. More and more people are starting to deviate from the science dogma of high volume 0-3RIR training and are reporting better gains with much less volume while not getting injured (or not more frequently than before). But yeah, straight sets do work and they will always work. 100% agree on that. Rep ranges are just a bit better.
