I bought a used in mint condition 2020 CV 60s tele off my local CL for 300 and love it. The guy decided trying to learn guitar at 40 was to much for him. I even like the pickups well enough that I doubt I will change them. Super well made guitars for even 450-500 new.

Hey Phil! I've had others say that as well and I'll be sharing more of my opinion in my videos. I appreciate the feedback 👍 As far as my opinion, honestly, I think they are both great pickups and I could use them both. Neither would make or break my guitar tone. I do prefer the BB Pro because I like the little bit of extra definition in the high end. I've had those BB Pros in my Les Paul for 8 years now. I still really like them and have no intention of changing them. Since I have the BB Pros in my Les Paul, if I were to have another humbucker guitar or and HSS Strat, I'd be perfectly happy to drop the JB in for a different flavor.

This is the one pedal that I just can't seem to replace. This is my go - to pedal. I absolutely love hearing and watching harder rock and metal guys say repeatedly that this pedal isn't for metal tones. I disagree. Just have to know how to use it. Also, I do hear, but mostly feel the difference in dynamics and touch response, especially while digging in. This is just simply one of the best overdrive pedals ever built. I hear the diffrence , B is warmer and richer and less highs and i think sustain is longer. B is the new wiring and A is PCB. With A this guitar squels too much. I have it with my gibson and i need to change that PCB, also broken switch. this squeling was the reason i swap bursbucker with alnico V to custombuckers alnico3. they are more natural. now only PCB out with groover machines and I will have a real LP :D

Kurt Cobain is not really a good example because Kurt Cobain was right-handed but played guitar left-handed by choice. Mononeon is the same thing. He's right-handed, but plays bass left handed strung right-handed. The whole aspect of left handed instruments being harder to find makes sense considering only 5% of the world population is left handed.

After the triggered midi is recorded from the edrum performance, do you edit the timing/velocity/etc of midi notes in the daw or directly through ezdrummer? Im running ezdrummer 3 as a plugin on a track in reaper, and i want to do as you described where i play edrums as a faster way of programming most of an idea, then adjusting timing and adding or subtracting hits. But its recording like a live drum performance and doesnt give me access to the midi notes for quantizing and other editing. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just wondering how you can feel a difference between the rosewood and maple fret board when you're not actually touching it? You press the string down onto the fret so you are touching the string and the fret not the fret board ? Not trying to be stroppy just curious.
@DadRockAndGuitars
@DadRockAndGuitars 20 күн бұрын
Good question! The pads of my fingers do lightly touch the fretboard even though I'm pushing down just behind the fret. My finger isn't just pushing down on the string, it's also often gently touching and muting the next string. For example, when I push down on the G string, I'm often also muting the D string. So when my finger is over that gap between the strings, it's lightly touching the fretboard. I also feel it when I bend because my finger rolls a bit to the underside of the string to better push it. I know some people never touch the fretboard, but that's how I do it. Maybe I just have fat finger pads too 😄
@rickyl9540

@DadRockAndGuitars Thanks for the reply. I have a fat middle finger that touches the string on either side of the fretted note. @DadRockAndGuitars
@DadRockAndGuitars 25 күн бұрын
Really good question! Without more info, it's a little hard for me to know why that's happening for you. However, if you are using multiple plugins on that channel, then it may be that some of the plugins are being disabled when Low Latency Monitoring is turned on. For a plugin to be active and heard during low latency monitoring, it must have 3 milliseconds or less of latency. So if there are plugins that have more than 3ms of latency, when they turn off, the sound will change because they are no longer affecting the sound. And if there is gain/volume being added in the plugin, then the sound would drop in volume as well. That's my best guess with the given info. Let me know if that helps or if you're still having issues.

Hello, I have a question regarding the settings that attempt to resolve latency in Studio One. The LOW LATENCY INSTRUMENT MONITORING option disables (turns off) the WAVES, CLA NX plugin. Any ideas why this happens and/or how to fix it? (Sorry for my bad English, I used Google Translate)
@DadRockAndGuitars
@DadRockAndGuitars 26 күн бұрын
That's a great question! If the plugin causes more than 3 milliseconds of latency, then Low Latency Monitoring will turn the plugin off and you won't hear the effect. It looks like CLA has ~442 milliseconds of latency. I found this helpful chart from Waves that gives the latency for all of their plugins: www.waves.com/support/tech-specs/plugin-latency I have CLA NX as well. It would be nice to monitor through CLA NX, but it looks like it isn't possible with Low Latency Monitoring turned on. From Presonus: s1manual.presonus.com/en/#Setup_Topics/Set_Up_Your_Audio_Device.htm#Audio Plug-in Use with Native Low-Latency Monitoring When monitoring an audio input or virtual instrument through the Native Low-Latency Monitoring system, any inserted FX on the corresponding Channel continue to function and can be heard in real time, provided that they add 3 ms or less of latency. Plug-ins that meet this latency requirement show a green power button in the Console (rather than blue or gray). Any inserted plug-ins that introduce more than 3 ms of latency are not audible in the monitoring path while a Channel is armed for monitoring or recording under Native Low-Latency Monitoring. They begin functioning again when recording/monitoring mode is disengaged. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. By the way, Google translate worked really well. Your English was better than most English speaking commenters. Ha ha!

Thanks.....my biggest GRIPE with WAVES, other than paying for them, about 60 of them in fact, is their BS Update Plan, which Barry Johns on his YT videos calls it, an Extortion Plan. His reasoning, for which I agree, is that they advertised their plugins as having a PERPETUAL LICENSE, so to me, they LIED. I just tried to open one of my songs, and I also use Studio ONE, and as it was trying to OPEN, I saw a RED colored Waves plugins, which was apparently causing the problem, and then eventually soon just CLOSED my DAW! When I went into Waves Central, I saw that I could Deactivate that plugin. SO what does that mean? Otherwise, I will either delete it, or maybe move it Inactive in the Plugin Mgr in Studio One. Either way, I am DONE with Waves purchases, and haven't bought any since probably 2022. I refuse to buy their Update plan.
@DadRockAndGuitars

Yeah, I've had Waves plugins for a very long time. I've paid for the update plan 2.5 times now. 2 full times over the many years and recently the .5 time. I've mostly moved over to UA (now that they have native versions) and Plugin Alliance plugins now and just buy them when they go on sale. I pretty much have all the ones I need now. There are a few Waves plugins that I really use in my workflow, so I did update those, but it only ended up being $60 or so. I should be good for several years again. Who knows, maybe I'll find a replacement for those too. As far the "Deactivate" option for your Waves plugin, this might be what it's referring to: www.waves.com/support/how-to-deactivate-waves-licenses

@@DadRockAndGuitars Thanks. I looked at your link. That's probably what I'll do instead of deleting them entirely, at least for now. I now prefer vendors that Plugin Alliance features, like Brainworx and also several of ADPTR's plugins that are very good analyzer plugins like Metric A/B and Streamliner, also their Sculpt plugin. I also have several Izotope plugins and though some of them are pricey, I've started off with the basic, then upgrade. I do have Ozone 11 Advanced that I use as my first plugin for each song in the Project Page for mastering. Their ReBalance and Tonal Balance Control plugins are also very good. @SuAmigoElilegal With that drum module, the MIDI works with a USB cable plugged straight into your computer. You don't need a MIDI interface cable or anything. It's built into your drum module. There are some basic instructions in the user manual on page 21 www.alesis.com/rscdn/2102/documents/Nitro%20Max%20Drum%20Module%20-%20User%20Guide%20-%20v1.1.pdf Does that make sense?
