I traded in a Mazda CX9 I paid 45k in ‘22. Only got 26k for on a trade for the Mach E. No federal tax credit for these. Only $3500 in state if MSRP below 55K depending on state. Car is awesome fun to drive. My favorite car ever. No regrets. Audio is awesome and love driving my MachE. I have solar panels so a no brainer despite the added insurance.

So what are you going to do after the 8 years if the battery goes bad?

I daily drove an 01 v6 auto for 3 years. Put 200k problem free miles on it. It's a great first car for new drivers.

I used a small amount of bondo and used the perfect Motorcraft color match pen to hide my paint chips and scratches... The car isn't in mint shape but it does look really good now ! Try looking for your color match on LMR...

I used sonic blue touch up paint and spray paint, I only sanded the big areas.. Definitely wouldn’t sand the rock chips, I have a short posted of the before and after… I would say it came out a 9 out of 10, imperceptible to anyone except for me because I did the work..

I just passed 6000 miles. I made two long distance road trips. Both time I really though I would not make it to my destination or back home. First trip I had 20 predicted mile when I found a charger station. I could not get my car identified to be able to charge. A stranger actually payed for my charge. I had 15 miles predicted when I parked in my garage. The second trip was again extended. At the terminus I had 20 mile predicted. I had to ask again for help getting charged. I spent 8 hours to get to 80%. Then I had to make a charge stop. The charging station shown on my screen was a Tesla station. NO adapter that I was promised. Nine months later still NO adapter. Lucky I spotted a EV charge station. 2 1/2 hours charging. I got home with 15 miles predicted.

Ford's Mustang Mach-E navigation system is not worth a CR_P. I needed to go to the next city for a doctors appointment. I live very close to a main 4 lane highway. As it goes to my destination. It changes to a 4 lane divided highway. Then I exit it onto a 4 lane divided expressway. Finally I exit onto a 4 lane main road through the city. Last turn I am less than a mile from mu destination. Every quick. My return was to city 10 miles below I origin. My friend who live there. He told me a route to his house. I missed the route number to his place. I punched in his address into Ford's navigation. It showed his address. Hit tapped "GO". A blue line showed up on a route. I followed it through all the secondary streets and all the stop lights. Where did I end up. I was at the junction where I exited off the 4 lane divided onto the 4 lane divided expressway. From a simple express travel to a complicated city streets.

Blue cruse is not hands free. about every 5 minutes the front screen flashes a warning to put you hands on the wheel. I drive two handed. I still get that warning.

Ford's navigation system in not worth C _ _ P. I began to load in the address of the location I needed to go. As I was inputting the address. Ford Navigation began to download totally different locations. Most in different states. When I finished inputting the address. The navigation could not find the address. Then I inputted the location name. I t found it. It showed a different location. This is the third time I attempted to use Ford's Navigation and it was totally wrong. Another thing I despise about ford's navigation is the scale of the map. Default is about 1 1/2 inch equals 200 FT. The map on the screen is approx. 6 inches. when traveling at 70MPH. You travel the 600 ft in a matter of seconds. You easily miss your exit notification. You can change the scale. So now you have a bigger map. You can see far ahead. NOT SO! as you travel the scale reverts back to 200ft with out any notification. As you are driving. You glance at the map to know where you are going. as you should you are looking ahead. then you glance back at the map. " IT IS DIFFERENT ". the scale has changed.

Not a lot of people know that but the blinker fluid is actually hidden in the unused gas tank on these models.

Y;all can complain about the cost of EVs, depreciation, battery life, etc. Thing is, YOLO. If you enjoy driving an EV and want one, buy one. You can plan for the future, and save money and drive your old cars into the ground, but you never know when suddenly you will end up in the hospital with something life threatening, or die suddenly. Do what makes YOU happy.
