Buying an F150 LIGHTNING! Trading in My Ecoboost F150?

We have a 2020 f150 eco with the 36 gallon tank. We've love it especially on trips visiting family. The biggest flaw is the mileage on the lightning. Just my opinion.

ford saved money using regular f150 parts its the same as other 150s its decorative badging

The Lightning is worth it for people who primarily drive in a 250 mile radius. The truck is fantastic, but Ford has not done nearly enough to support their vehicle’s charging structure. The reason Tesla has 95% of electric sales is he offers a stress free charging experience with his vehicles.

Yes, I have a Mach-e and road trips can get stressful especially when charging stations are not working, that’s why I got the ecoboost 700 miles of range off a tank of gas

The dealer mark up in Vancouver WA is 100% of the price. Msrp is 54k and they are selling it for 108k. Not even a lariat trim. Just basic. This is a huge turn down for me. I'm not buying for 108k. Platinum is 140k

I think if you put in an order for a 2023 lightning you’ll either miss out on the tax credit or the tax credit will be cut in half The $7500 is only for the first 200k models is my understanding

Yea plus it 200k per manufacturer so the Mach-e will take a good amount of those sales

@@cobracarlos The new Ram EV will be unveiled soon and it should have up to a 500 mile range Not a Chrysler fan but this might be the best EV truck in the near future

Incorrect with the new tax credit law there is no limit on number of vehicles and you will get the credit taken off at dealer instead of taxes at end of year.

The Lightning is better in every way except for range and re-fueling time. If you need a truck to haul long distances, the Lightning won't do, otherwise, it's a better value than the gas F-150. I calculated that I would save over $6K per year in fuel compared to an F-150 gas using current electricity and gas prices where I live, and I don't need a long hauling vehicle so the Lightning is a much better value for my needs (if I could buy one).

I agree 100% once they get a longer range, there will literally be no benefit to a gas car over the ev

Wait this is a pro model? How much extra was the folding shifter that folds down for the table option Also do the backseats fold up like the ICE F150 and you can put stuff behind the seat?

Yup it’s a pro model, crazy how many features it has on the base model!
