Is the Tesla Model Y Third Row USELESS?

I have a MYLR with the 3rd row. The 3rd row is really meant for children. For the $2500 I think its worth it if you have kids. I think the feature has been as high as $4k and not worth it at that price point. My kid in his forward facing car seat (Britax) fits fine in the 3rd row as is his older cousin at 7 years old. We have a Uppababy Cruz V2 stroller which is a larger size of strollers and it fits with the 3rd row up if we use the lower portion of the trunk. I do have to make sure its not leaning to where the door touches it or else the door stops.

@@cobracarlos Its gotten some use but its not an every day thing. Thankfully its just a nice to have feature and not a needed feature for me. Most of the time the car seat is in row 2 and getting it and the kid buckled in back there in 3 is not easy. That's why I think there's a price where it stops being worth it. Hopefully it doesn't go back up in price because I think it is useful on occasion and there is no real loss on storage.

I got my model Y three years ago. Only regret was not getting the third row. Testing it out in a friends Y, this is only good however for trips until the kids in that row are around 10 yr old. After that, it’s too cramped.

Im not sure why but here in the UK the 3rd row has never been offered on the MY. After seeing this video, yeah im glad to say we couldnt get it because i was considering it.

The stroller would probably fit if you flipped it over and removed the charge cable pack.

We have a Ford Explorer and the third row is acceptable but not great. When I saw the one in the Model Y I knkw I would not want it. I love my Model Y though and just had an alignment done today. I will make a video about it soon.

@@cobracarlos My wife drives a Platinum. I had a second set of wheels powder coated in black so they are identical with the ST ones. You see it among my videos if you are curious.

That's about the dumbest thing you can spend your money on. My brother was thinking "long term" and like a fool spent the money and lost cargo space. I'm glad you showcased trying to stuff a kid seat in the back. I came from a MDX Advance & I can count on one hand the many times the third row was used, and nope never thought or put a kid seat back there because of the hassle & this is a real SUV.
