Love your hacks, you are so talented. The yellow linen Lempi dress looks fabulous. The white denim dress( we would call that a jumper in the States) was a great choice for the fabric, Love the color of your shirt with it also. Cropped pants, are also great!

I like the idea of adding darts to a waistband! I usually just insert some elastic but it ususally doesn't let the wasitband lay as flat. You made some awesome pieces this month! I love the "jungle-not-jungle" dress!!

OMG! You have some really beautiful makes! I don’t think there was a piece I didn’t like… But they’re definitely a few I have to have, like the Tilia dress! I love that entire outfit, including your beautiful coral striped top! Just absolutely lovely! Enjoy your trip to San Francisco, I’m sure you’re going to have a wonderful time!

Love your makes! I thoroughly agree with you about pockets, Rosa. I always omit them. I certainly never want extra bulk on my hips! 🤓

Loved your makes, especially the trousers. With creased fabric I use a dry iron and iron them when damp(inside out)(after washing)Any deep creases dampen and use the iron on steam.I then hang them up by the waist and leave to dry overnight. I find this really helps to stop bad creases .They generally then just need a quick steam iron but make sure their cold before wearing or your body heat will set any creases. I hope this helps. I,also loved the yellow coat dress.I think this would also look good as a lightweight coat over the trousers and pinafore dress, especially with a yellow and white striped top. Enjoy your holiday

Definitely hit up Chinatown! If you want to go to Alcatraz you usually need to book in advance, so keep that in mind. Also, Napa is close by and they have some really good bus tours that will drive you around to the wineries and its a good chance to see the countryside and get boozy!

Hi Rosa, loved Made in Dagenham and I adore your new look hacked dress😍. The zip pull just makes it so vintage doesn't it. Beautiful fabric from the lovely Harriet💞. The Named patterns dress is great and I think it could be hacked into a shirt style too with a lighter fabric maybe. The book sounds exciting so I'll keep an eye out for that 👍. I'm loving the pinafore dress with pockets but would probably lengthen it for me but it's a very cute length on you. The Lander pants are lovely and have loved other versions on you tube too😊. Happy Easter and enjoy your sewing 😘

Oh Rosa I love your makes, especially the Lander pants!! I REALLY want to make them in a bright colour - maybe red or green. Nice to know how you made them fit as I am similar proportions (although bigger all round!) to you - waist much smaller than hips! Hope you have a fabulous time in San Fran! X

I loved ALL your makes this month Rosa! Your linen dress is absolutely gorgeous - your '70's rendition is SO cute and your Lander pants are lovely. I'd love to make up that jumper by Slow Sunday - you know what would be wonderful? If you did a complete tutorial on making it! If you decide to make up one for your mom maybe you could do a video tutorial on making it? I would love that :) Have a wonderful time in SF. I lived there for a couple of years - 30 years ago! - so I can't honestly recommend much, it's just been too long but I'm sure you'll see all the things :)

Britex Fabrics! Go to Britex Fabrics in San Francisco! They have a HUGE selection of Fabrics! Also tons of expects are on staff. The trimmings and notions departments have vintage pieces and stuff imported from all over. It's like three stories of sewing materials.

Your 60's dress is SO San Francisco! I love it! You should wear it to the Haight Ashbury and look in the vintage shops. It's probably gotten ridiculously expensive but the people are characters. I lived in SF for about 10 years and I still miss it. Cole Valley and Hayes Valley are nice to walk around with great shops, cafes & restaurants. The Ferry Building is a must for local delicacies: the clam chowder at the Hog Island Oyster Co is the best, also do not miss Recheutti chocolates! If it's a nice day, the ferry to Sausalito is worth it just for the views. Fisherman's wharf and Ghirardelli are for tourists only but Chinatown and North Beach (bookstores) are really authentic. Always carry an extra layer as weather changes throughout the day. Enjoy!!!!

If you are near Union Square (near Britex, try the top floor for remnants) and looking for a local cheap meal, go to King of Thai noodles, especially the duck leg soup, larb salad, and stir fried noodles, with a Thai iced tea. Peet's for coffee and tea, is much better than Starbucks. Vintage fabrics are pretty hard to find: The Alameda Antiques and Collectables market is once a month in Alameda (access by Ferry). It would be your best bet for vintage. Stonemountain and Daughter Fabrics in Berkeley has a great selection, definitely worth the trip across the bay, but you won't find super bargains.

More restaurant recs: Chez Maman (the burger, brunch), The Grove (soup, salads), Just for you Cafe (try the beignets), La Taqueria on Mission St (tacos)., black bean chili and cornbread at Greens (to-go just inside the restaurant at Ft. Mason), Dosa on Fillmore.

And Mifune in Japan Town. Also the Kabuki baths are nice and affordable for a Japanese spa. If you do go to Stone mountain and Daughter, La Note restaurant is very nearby.

OMG, the fabric of you're dress is exactly same fabric I wore in the 70s or was it the 60's. The zipper makes really authentic. Ah the memories :-) San Fransisco is such a fun place. The first time I was there I was there to run a race (7.5 mile, Bay to Breakers race) and the send time I was there I was playing in an international volleyball tournament. Neither time did I get to tour the city :-( But you'll have so much fun. Enjoy! What's the update on your wedding dress?
