Hi, new to your channel. A couple of tips, due to the way you said some stuff: Moving doors are much faster than remove and rebuild, just put them to an internal room if to block moving outside. Buildings can be upgraded, so skip rebuilding if need a stronger (flat) roof, just do the part needed first from ground and up. I use to build freezer room (3x17 normally), so start first with wood or stone, for then upgrade to bricks and/or carbon (later) for better isolation.

I just bought the game a few days ago and have been playing a lot. It’s my first playthru and I have 7 survivors in year 2. Rita is the goat and I sent her every time, no save scum, and she only failed one expedition so far!

I love doing the sweetleaf role in cake parties because it's first and the menu doesn't jump around on me 😅

After playing this a few extra hours, I have to say it's grown on me a LOT and I feel like it was a great recommendation A+++

As you love being near water, you should add the fishing dock mod to your games, not op or anything but a nice use of the water.

COW-ZONE This is one of the most popular seeds, and for a good reason. It spawns in a flat area, and there are so many resources around that the players have their hands full for some time. There is also one extra survivor on the first week, and even though the trees are a little bit scarce, the player can definitely make up for it by planting some fields of trees if they need to build more. A very classic and solid seed that it will not disappoint. The starting breakthroughs are Chitin Synthetics, Battery Optimization, Balloon Optimization, Sleep Training, and Improved Railgun Snipers.

Try Aliens. Good defensive start, TONS of silicone and berries. Wood, stone. Easy to form defenses on this map too

I didn't actually choose the female body but instead messed with the controls on the male one. The result was a offensively bright pink space alien with tiny everything besides his huge arms.
