The breakthroughs are literally the most important part of the seed.

LAARA starts you near DARK-ANGEL. LAARA is different than laara. MATTER-LET puts you next to 3 nests with 1 further down and 3 on top of mountain to left of moon. You get most of what you need to start, berries melons glitter cap for food. Lots of animals for manure fuel. If you want cotton you'll have to go up onto the flat hill left of moon. It's a challenge since not a lot of flat area in start but you'll be able to build with carbon early. Carbon armor, balloon optimization are 2 of the breakthroughs. Lots of trees to build with too.

I really want to try a challenging playthrough with lost of nests since that would push me outside my comfort zone and make for an interesting game. I'll have to take a look at MATTER-LET. I recently got this game and have been completely obsessed! I love that I found your channel, awesome to see someone else enjoy and share the content! If you're still looking for seeds, I just spent 38 irl hours in Desertum, PAST-INSIDE. Little bit of a trek down the sandy hills, but then you come upon a wide deep blue river, with a wide expanse of flat land to build on next to it. It is a little bit of a grind if you want to set things up nicely, but worth it if you enjoy the atmosphere and aesthetics lol. Took me about 11 in game years before my settlers were able to move into the main camp on the river, but you can't beat the beauty lol. Definitely my favorite seed/run so far

Glad to see you took a look at OFF-WORLD. Just a little more info for anyone wanting to try it. I'm on my 3 restart of this seed and have gotten 7 survivors before end of second year on each. Also depending on placement of your camp there will be 12 crash sites a short distance from camp. There are 2 insect nest a short distance walk and I've seen 5 added farther away. There are 4 or 5 small ponds with the larger lake near crash site. Playing on medium level i've seen 4 different kinds of insect attacks that you don't see walking around. Not the perfect seed but a fun one. Enjoy and can't wait to try some of these other seeds also. Oh and I have tamed 2 dogs on this seed.Thanks for taking the time to show us these seeds as we don't all have all the time we want to play. You did a great job.

i recommend WONDER-STAFF -flat land to build surrounded by mountains -nearly every resource close by -nests close by [i had full carbon fortifications by end of year 2] -scavenged 2 mech cores in first 1 1/2 years -nearly a dozen scavenge sites within view of crash -scavenged 400 gallons of fuel -great break-throughs [printed components, graphene solar panels, improved pistols, improved snipers, veggie armor] -Neg - only 6 survivors [going into year 4... but, whatever] i load up half a doz new seeds every day looking for ideal geography to play!

Chitlin (chit’-lin) is pig intestine. Chitin (ky’-tin) is insect exoskeleton. This is Chitin armor. Good suggestions on the seeds!! Wrote a couple down to try!

Scenario: Crash. Region: Sobrius. Moon: Chaos. Difficulty: Insane. Seed: TIE-DRAW. Breakthrough: Chitin Synthetics, Fuel Fermentation, Printed Components, Ore Prospecting, Meat Printing. The crash site is small, but a short distance away is a fairly large semi-flat area. Corn, cloth, and mushrooms are close.

Someof these look very promising and I'm going to have give these a go. Thanks for sharing that info! There are 2 seeds that I've found that I've been using to try to do the "Insane with Chaos Moon" or Iron Survivor Achievement. Both have unguarded nests (very close) and carbon armor breakthrough, meaning there are no bugs guarding them so if you start with Kana you can immediately start making carbon armor before you even have weaapons. On insane mode you have to be in full carbon armor before the first extreme cold snap or everyone will die so it's the most important thing next to heptagonia (tube plants) which both seeds have as well. Also carbon armor uses only carbon and no metal so it's easier to make than synthetic. I've beaten insane difficulty on both these seeds but not with chaos moon (yet). MIGHT-FIELD (Desertum) 17 Unguarded nest formations FINAL-HEAVY (Desertum) 16 Unguarded nest formations - The one unguarded nest is on the other side of guarded nests so you have to draft to get them there, then set up a seperate temporary storage point that isn't inline with the other nests so they can return with the carbon after mining, then move it to your permanent storage after all mining is done.

@@dddweller I think they're probably very rare because I've only found those two, but combined with Kana (she starts at level 6 crafting) as one of your starting survivors, it's the best thing to do to survive on the harder settings. There's so many steps involved in making synthetic armor that odds are they'll all die before you get them protected.

I tried to and loaded MIGHT-FIELD seed but to me all nests seem to be guarded. It sounds like game glitch then if you didn’t have it so in your game.

Just an FYI, with the latest patch and content changes, they have changed all seeds for the worse in my opinion. Things like LLL are now rather poor with initial breakthroughs. May be worth putting together another seed video post-update for some top ones out there.

Point of note, on the LLL seed I had several runs of hungry pests, and at least 2 attacks, appear inside my base, spawning at the corner by the lake. As such, I don't think the water is as good of a barrier as one might think.

I've heard of mobs spawning in bases, but I haven't experienced that yet, perhaps I build my bases too small for it, or perhaps my day is coming, lol! thank you for the heads up!

I just started a new seed and used my favorite WWE wrestlers name as the seed. LIV-MORGAN. The spawn area is almost completely flat with plenty of wildlife and all the crops you can need really close.

My favorite seed on Sobrius is DOWN-UNDER. The map seems to have all the resources you could want/need including Beef Berries and Chew Root wight where you land. Breakthroughs = Sleep training; Meat printing; Fuel fermentation; Improved laser pistols Improved pulse rifles. Plus you get an early walk-in. I have played this map on various settings including Insane mode and always had a walk in between day 5 and day 8. I have to say that insane mode is brutal lol I can't seem to get past mid summer. The downside to this map is the fact that there are hills all around (almost looks like a huge old crater). The hills are covered in trees which is good for building but the attacks seem to form up high on the hills in the trees which makes going out to meet them before they start the full on attack very hard. Not so much on the easier levels but on insane level it can be a nightmare. Having said that ... because of the wood ... on normal mode I can usually get buildings up so they have bedrooms by early summer and a full base before Fall. Lots of early meat and hides too because the number of ducks (flightless birds) is high and they kill every night. High numbers of Drakka and Ulfen too and 2 dogs right where you land. Another interesting seed is UNDER-CROFT. It is a very craggy landscape with not many open flat areas (would suit a build consisting of small cabins) but the beach is gorgeous albeit a bit of a walk. You land nose in to a rock formation. Breakthrough tech = Fuel Fermentation Improved solar and Graphene solar (bit of a waste IMO having both) Battery Optimisation Carbon Armor.

At 12:00, your talking about building your base by the water, with one side of your base up against it to protect from predators that will always attack from the land only. It would be cool, and kind of awful if they introduced semi-aquatic predators that could spawn in theater and attack from there, or come out of the water...

Just found your channel about a week ago, and really enjoy your content. Found a seed for you for when you want to take on the nests...and it's a really good playable seed as well. Sobrius, FARMER-BACK. Not a lot of your water view, but there is a pond and it is fairly scenic itself, you know, aside from the bug nests! Sleep Training, Battery optimization, solar optimization, carbon wind, and wait for it...Balloon optimization. Didn't get a walk-in but picked up balloon survivors pretty quickly. Give it a look! Oh...and did I mention bug nests? Thanks for the content!

That's so strange, Fun-Sock has the same layout as the seed I play on. Only difference I have noticed is the breakthroughs, Entry point & crash spot. Which isn't much difference. As in mine I crash closer to a pond behind you before you turn the camera. I was being funny in my seed name & chose Busty-Mountains. If you'd like to take a look.

I really like the breakthroughs on STEERT-GOLD and LLL on this vid. But I was so disappointed with these seeds on Xbox. The only thing that is the same is pretty much just the location. STEERT-GOLD has Chitin Synthetics, Meat Printing, Printed Components, Carbon Wind Turbines and Improved Pulse Rifle. LLL has Ore Prospecting, Meat Printing, Graphene Solar Cells, Improved Pulse Rifle and Carbon Armor. The "best" I've found on Xbox so far is TODAY-FACT with Printed Components, Fuel Fermantation, Graphene Solar Cells, Balloon Optimization and Carbon Armor. I would like to have Battery Optimization and Carbon Wind Turbine instead of the solar cells and balloon. Edit: So this is my pic so far: Scenario: Crash Langing Region: Sobrius Seed: TODAY-FACT Survivor: Rita - Food and farm. Samantha - Construction and observe/research Simon - Observe/research, crafting and transporting. Sora - Combat, physical activities and expeditions. Rita is interested in food and farming. So she will level up fast while doing this. Samantha is interested in construction and learns it fast. She also has good intellect and combat. Simon has good intellect for research and his walkspeed makes him good for observing and transporting. Sora shoots really fast and hits pretty good too and starts with good physical. Good combat and physical is a great combo for expeditions. She can handle risky missions and haul more stuff.

lol "Silicon" and "Silicone" are different things. Silicon is a metal used in electronics. Silicone is a substance created in a lab that's used for, among other things, augmented squeezies. Obviously, you're mining Silicon. Thank you for a great vid. I wish others would do vids on seeds. There's lots of them in the Steam discussions but, with resolutions getting higher, and me just passing 70 yrs old, it's getting more and more difficult to read the text that's getting smaller and smaller.

Hi AragonLuna, that's really interesting! I just tried it myself. Some mods, when installed can change the map so if you are using mods, that may make it hard to get the same map as someone else. That aside, I also couldn't get the same map for SUPER-SEED even after I turned off mods. I'll do an updated seeds video, since it could be possible the game has changed since this one came out (they just posted their 9th update in April). I'll see what I can find and put an update on my channel. Sorry I couldn't help more!

What i wanna know is the best seeds or either taming animals or being surrounded by nests...only been playing this game since it was released on the ps5 n i love it but im looking for challenges n i also wanna know how to best get more survivors... Also on that note can you get 8 survivors on the crash landing scene? Or is it the same for all 3 scenes being max 8 survivors? Sorry for all the questions 😅

What seed has the most resources bundled together...just for casual play

that's a great question! In the first seeds video I did, I ran across one called GUITAR-MEAT that I mentioned would be excellent for peace-mode (which is a setting you can chose for casual play in game if you want to!) I think that might be a great place to start. Its very expansive and well stocked. For a seed with resources very close together, I'm currently doing a playthrough series on PROOF-REST that had everything I needed close to my crash site and I didn't need to start farming until after the first winter. I think that and LLL are great for close proximity resources :)

Not sure why you love that water so much. Its technically inferior, since it takes up room close to your base and is not significantly useful for defense.

I haven't seen new breakthroughs yet, but I think there are new research options related to the update. I saw one today on a playthrough of a new arrow weapon meant to stun not kill so you can domesticate.

How exactly do you change the seed? Just rename it? Also does it matter what planet type you choose?

At the start of a new game, replace the automatic seed name with the one you want to use and that will work. The outcome for each seed name changes depending on the type of region you chose

No swimming (so far) in game, I mentioned it as a personal preference if I was crash landing here I’d personally want to live by a beautiful lagoon and go swimming. Maybe the devs will surprise us with a water update someday, that’d be cool!

So far CHARLIE-HORSE is my favorite lake seed, but another large lake seed is BUS-BEING and there’s also ROW-EFFECT and LLL (aka CLOCK-BREAD) with larger lake side landing sites

I noticed that a lot of the seeds that are recommended do not look the same in the console version. I tried quite a few from various lists and the breakthroughs are different as is the map layout.

So I have played around with some seeds and found 2 that i enjoy. Both are based off of my gamer tag. HARBINGER-ELICIT has the best scenic area with decent resources but the crash landing is amazing. 3LICIT-HARBINGER though.. almost every resource within reach and starts with hay cloth, hay sausage, meat printing, improved solar cells, and battery optimization. Plus a good amount of flat land.
