Another great video! As to the flooring question you have to go to each square individually and click through the different elements attached to that square, Time consuming if it's a large floor. I would suggest; "New Footprint" settlement, if they ended up staying there it is kind of what is happening. I saw a comment and answer from the devs on this that there are no current plans for children to be added at this time. At the risk of getting you into another great game, Medieval Dynasty takes that concept to a whole new level as you and your spouse have a child and when your original character dies ( as long as the child survives until their 18th birthday) then they inherit your land and legacy. Enough nattering for now. Keep it up I am enjoying your content.

Thank you! New Footprint is a good one! And good to know about the flooring, though tedious for sure. Medieval Dynasty sounds like my kind of game - I'll have to check it out here at some point ☺ Also just got into Valheim which Im really enjoying so far too!

ClanFolk is also a game very similar to RimWorld but picture like a mideival Scottish homestead. I've been really enjoying it.

Oohhh that's a good one, not having children in the game, however i notice alot of the characters are related and shouldn't they have a buff associated with that?

This has been a great series so far! When I play this game I'm all about the role play and story, so I really like your play style with focus on aesthetic and finding more survivors. Also, just wanna say that I appreciate the way you approached the comments. Female content creators, especially this genre, get so much BS, so I love the way you called it out while still being gentle. Subscribed AF. Glad we all get to enjoy this game along side you! Settlement name ideas; the Midden (archaeological term for a trash heap) because they've built from scratch and scavenging. Also, I think Sole Haven is kinda cute.

tysm! I was nervous to address the issue, but knew it wasn't going to go away on its own so I appreciate the positive feedback and support! Also I really like the idea of Sole Haven, I keep trying to tag things onto the words village, settlement, base, town, etc but using Haven instead is a really good idea! Glad to have folks like you subbed, its heartwarming to meet wholesome players in the community who want to build up together not tear down :D I look forward to seeing you on the next one! *edit* I forgot to say, Midden is a really cool word too and has a nice sound to it even if it does mean Trash Heap, haha!

I can't wait for the full release of this game it has so much potential! Like more variant planets like a tropical planet that be dope and to add would be ocean industry like harvesting coral or fisheries idk though just brain storming 🧠

Building just a roof for the flying bugs does work good but i have found that they can still hurt you so if you put up large windows as walls instead of walls the bugs cant get to you and the survivors can shoot right through the windows, it works perfectly!

How about something like "Dweller Lake" or "Lake view"? My only suggestion would be to have everyone armed with at least a crossbow. You also asked why we play? I don't like the combat but really like starting a new base in different locations. Once I have a base built with electricity and most of the crafting areas and farms, I start wanting to quit and start new!

I'm very similar XD After I start to feel like I've gotten them to a place of automation where they're more or less set up for success, I begin wanting to start over in a new spot. Hoping the devs are planning to roll out new scenarios that include establishing a settlement with maybe an end goal of "establish trade" with other settlements or something in the future. Even if they're AI trade routes and not other saves. For this playthrough though, I think I'll do my best to reach end-game and get them off world for the sake of seeing what its like -but also so as not to leave viewers hanging after all the time you all are giving to seeing it through! :)

Great play through so far but i feel that you really need to come up with a killzone design. the kill killzone is the most important aspect of this game and needs to be implemented within the first 3 to 4 days. once you have the bugs under control than the rest will fall right into place.

you are absolutely right and I'm reaping what I sowed where the game is currently paused (on a shrieker attack) If I actually survive it, I'll definitely create a proper kill zone in the next video!

I agree, married couples shall have babies and be possible to continue on the planet with generations. And what about that idea, to make our own created survivor with our own picture, name, story and character?

they recently gave us generations for the wildlife with the tame and train update, perhaps theyre working out the mechanics of making something similar for the survivors.

Absolutely choose music or voice, not both when you make your own videos 😊 from my metrics I’ve discovered room tone alone has a lower retention rate than videos with music. If I knew a channel off the top of my head playing this game musicless I’d be happy to recommend it. But I wish you all the best in finding or creating videos that cater to your preferences!
