15 sec bed without putting on/taking of blankets, duvet, and storing pillows… plus: it’s not a real mattress, a couple “sleeping” together 😇 will fall in the holes between those parts… And also: bed in that position blocks the passage… bad layout imho.

Hi there Just fitted our double seat swivel base from same company. Really well made however when turning the seat into position you have to lower handbrake okay no problem but when seat is in position facing into back of van we cannot put handbrake back on as the bar of the seat is in the way? Did not see in your video if you have the same issue?
@Wandering_Blue2 күн бұрын
Hey, yeah I don’t have to lower the handbrake to turn mine. Only thing that’s slightly annoying is that it catches slightly on the flooring in the cab

I'm sitting here with my first template cut out very fearful that a 20mm overlap is not enough. 😱 You've cut notches into your template. Why? I didn't notice you cut notches in the van. My universal window has three pieces of squareish plastic moulding on the u moulding on the inside lower part of the window. I've set my template to go around them which is why my overlap is small. Does that ring any bells?
@Wandering_Blue2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I did cut notches in the van, may not have shown it on the video but if I didn’t, the moulding you’re talking about would’ve interfererend with the pane sitting as close to the body of the van as possible. As long as you’re generous with the adhesive, I found the gap I left to be more than enough. Hope that helps

6.5 cm more in height, isn't that annoying? do not touch the ceiling with your head
@Wandering_Blue3 ай бұрын
Nope! I'm always in the drivers seat and my other half is a foot shorter than me so if anything it just levels the playing field.
@ktmadventure3 ай бұрын
@@Wandering_Blue thank you for your answer, it reassures me I was afraid that the bench (2 places) would be too high compared to the driver's seat. but if you tell me that it equalizes then it’s perfect!
@ktmadventure2 ай бұрын
@@Wandering_Blue ok, but what I mainly want to say: Doesn't adding 6cm of height with the swivel base seat raise the entire double seat too much? So it risks being much higher than that of the driver, right?
@guygreenwood4 ай бұрын
Be careful crimping with that pair of pilers - you might not get a very good all round connection and that could lead to hot spots. Suggest you invest in a proper crimp tool - they aren't that expensive and you will be safe. Otherwise looks fantastic. I'm just about to start the electrics on my van build - its scary !!

A 3Kw inverter will power pretty much any induction hob just make sure the battery can handle the Amp draw, every 1200W from the inverter is roughly 100A from the battery so if you intend to use the full 3000W you'll need a battery BMS that will handle at least 250A or multiple batteries that can handle that draw between them ? The build is looking good 😎
@md23207 ай бұрын
Do your homework on the induction hob. One channel I watched put one in To go electric and it used so much power that they switched back to gas!!! van looking goooood 👍

hi, enjoying your vids, I'm doing the jumbo transit 2018, so it helps seeing others with the same van. I have to say though after speaking to lots of different firms including battery suppliers that i think you should defo resize your cable to the invertor, 16mm is too small and potentially overheat . I hope this helps or at least makes you double check that size as 3000w invertor is a huge power draw through the cable. Anyway please don't think its criticism as its not, i think your doing great i just think its too small All the best for the van and future vids
@Wandering_Blue9 ай бұрын
Hi, you’re absolutely right. My inverter came with cables that I presumed were 16mm2 but after you said this I checked and they’re 25s- good spot
