Why did you choose such a path for the river crossing (9:30)? Any tips for crossing such barriers?
@RTWriders6 ай бұрын
Because it was the shallowest part of the river crossing. The water was clear and you could see it from the riverbank. Otherwise we usually wade through, if the depth is unclear and the crossing appears to be deep. Some of them e.g. in Estonia turned out to be extremely deep in the centre. So it's definitely recommendable to check, before playing captain submarine 😉

We as Romanians are never bothered by the NO ENTRY ⛔️ signs as most of the authority representatives are understanding of us, motorcycle riders, especially if you are just passing by. But we don’t go, knowingly, in the really restrictive protected areas inside some national parks or similar but general forest areas never had any problems. Still better not risk it if you are not willing to accept the consequences 😅(heavy fines😢). Some parts of the TET are brutal, especially for beginners. Now we understand why a fellow Belgian rider who started the TET from the north was asking about some alternative nice routes in the area: alone on an Africa Twin is a no go 🙅 😂we met him in a camping 🏕️ spot in Maramures county. We just got our licenses and bikes last year and we did loads of rides in Romania 🇷🇴 our country is heaven for motorcycle adventures! We’re happy you had a decent time here! The weather was shit all summer, except the 2nd half of September and whole October. Everything dried out and we were able to sharpen our off road skills through the forests. Much love ❤️
@RTWriders6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. We really enjoyed our time in Romania and we'll come back to your country for sure. We only passed 1 no-entry sign, because we were able to asked someone for permission and otherwise it would have been a massive detour. Surprisingly that was super easy going - completely different compared to Central Europe, where bikers usually aren't really welcome at all.
