arcane season 2 was so bad.... like end of game of thrones later seasons bad

I thought season 1 was pretty much flawless. For season 2, I had to pause multiple times and check if I had skipped an episode or forgotten something from the first season. So many things just **poof** happened or appeared with no introduction or explanation. Isha is the perfect example. Literally just falls into view out of nowhere and everyone acts like she's been around the whole time... I heard that most of the story writers from season 1 were not brought in to write season 2, and man does it show

Season 1 was a 10/10 but S2 was such a mess. It had great moments but none of the plot points they threw together had a coherent ending. Vander resurrects just to die. Ambessa's whole conflict with the black rose just fell apart. She lost the scientists capable of making hex tech and just went well shit and hopped from Vander to Viktor Jesus mode scrambling for power just for it all not to matter. She looses her bracelet and dies in 5 seconds to the black rose but then Mel just instantly kills the black rose even though she just learned she can use magic less than a week ago? They built up the black rose Both seasons just for the one mage to instantly die to a newbie. I could go on and on about the dead end plot points but the worst thing is most people including myself think episode 7 was the best episode. But it didn't actually impact the story at all. Echo's dance with Powder is the best moment in the whole season imo and it doesn't mean anything because Echo has to leave and go back to his reality. The writers needed to omit plot lines like Vander or give the show more time. The writers did it to themselves. Don't blame riot unless the show was greenlit for more seasons and riot said no.

Strangely almost every single positive aspect about the show is instantly tainted by every other frustrating and contrived writing decision. It's a show that had nice sturdy legs and had a huge lead ahead of all the other competition, but tripped awkwardly out of the gate, walked into a rake, slipped on banana peel, slid into a vat of bubbling tar before crashing into a chicken coop with a cacophony of cackles, squawks, chirps (followed by an explosion of bird feathers).

Watching the Bleach fanboys defending all the bad writing in these comments is truly surreal 🍿

S2 is written like a fanfiction. A shitty one. Even stories from AO3 is better.

Its sad to say but yeah, season 2 take some serious hits due to pacing, there should be another one season. At the same time, animation, artwork, music, sound design and the voice actors hold the line without even taking a step back. If I will say that season 2 was bad it will be a terrible lie, I really enjoyed the ride.

I just started re-watching the show recently because the last arc that I remember was the arc with Ichigo fighting grimjow and I remember that in middle school so right now I’m literally re-watching everything right now just about to finish the bout arc and kinda not a fan of this arc

I stopped watching after the first 3 episodes. It's simply too much action with poor plot and no characters to give a damn about. The power scaling is all over the place too, it's supposed to be a show about ninjas and yet all the characters have absurd strength and speed with no explanation, and they cast spells too because why not?

I used to think that I hated elves, but the way Freiren casually deleted Draht and Aura taught me that I have much to learn about hatred. I saw her calculated and pragmatic reasons for hating demons, and the way she approached dealing with them was inspiring. It also didn't hurt that I also deeply dislike demons as well. You could say that what drew me to this show was mine and Frieren's mutual hatred of demons. In effect, I learned to love this show through the power of racism, I think that's beautiful.

What kills every anime is the overly obsession for the protagonist, so many animes have failed because the protagonist is the only that matters, i can imagine how mha and aot fumbled for, and the rushing, which includes TPN and some recent mangas i no longer remember The only good mangas i’ve ever read were jjba, one piece is still quite good, solo leveling, beginning after the end, code geass, gurren lagan, made in abyss, magi And there’s the funky ones that end with the protagonist dying so he could save the others, but in the end everybody dies anyway

the anime is a great adaptation, but the TYBW manga was rushed and unsatisfying in the first place :/

As a volleyball player and coach, i felt like this movie felt more like a volleyball game with how fast everything was. But I did wish it was more gameplay than story, a real best out of 3 game irl would Normally be an 1 hour-1hour 15mina if it goes to a 3rd set.

There was this one anime where a dysfunctional family played this VR game together unknowingly and I thought it was gonna be this dark and personal show centered around the family; but just a few episodes in they introduce this virus monster thing that can kill people in the game? And then there were secret plots by the father and a bunch of stupid shit surrounding the VR world. I just dropped it before getting to the end because it just started getting dumb

It's feels like they spend 50% of budget for a first 3 episodes, 10% for a coldrain openning, 30% for CGI Meh(not Mech), and rest 10% for rest amount of episodes. It's a first anime on my memory that drops from "OMEGAHYPED CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH A NEW EPISODE " to "Bruh, for real dude?".
