Those joking, and laughing about the death, and suffering in Ukraine, whichever side you favour, everyone loses. The only winners are the banks, and a few evil families that are above the law. To a degree, directly, or indirectly, we are all cannon fodder.

Tinus, Congratulations! A magnificent documentary, moving to tears. The colorization made these brave men come alive again. Each lined face is a story, and many of them lost their families in the concentration camps. Something about their determination reminded me of the images of the Confederate infantry. The cause they defended so bravely is present today in the new country. I cannot watch the video without emotion. You brought these people to life.

Cool to see the people my great grand dad got up against. Some staunch looks there, and crack shots among them. He was a hard one, and came Home after the pacification. Be nice to think he was nice to everyone he met while over there in service to the great cause of Empire of the day, but probably not, that's not why you get paid in the British Army.

No matter what side they fought on. Poor souls died so young. War is not necessary. Anyone who says otherwise has never witnessed one.

My father was a fighter pilot in the North Africa and Italy campaign, he flew Hurricanes, Spitfires and Mustangs, survived the war and departed this world in 2011 @ 91 years, but rarely spoke of the war. Thank you for sharing this great tribute to our aviators.

And this is only one battlefield among millions (if not more) that have been taken since the existence of humankind. Imagine all the human lives and natural resources and destruction we have annihilated throughout our existence on this planet. We're the most stupid and self-destructed creatures on this earth. I say... maybe it's a blessing and a silver lining in the future with AI and AGI and ASI and Singularity... even if it means they will completely obsolete humanoids.

These men look for all the world like the " wild-eyed Southern boys" from Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, etc who stood off lincoln 's tyranny back in the 1860's but were finally overwhelmed by superior numbers and the United States war against defenseless civilians.
