Mounjaro has changed so much in my life! It has reduced the inflammation in my body so much that I have been able to stop all other meds, stopped wearing cpap except my thyroid med. Mounjaro does dehydrate you so please drink tons of water and some electrolytes with it. The first sign of dehydration is fatigue as well. You got this!! I bet in 3-6 months if you check your labs again they will all be much better!

Hi honey, thank you for sharing your journey. I start next week. I watched a lot of YT videos, and they recommend no dairy (cheese, sour cream, whey, butter, etc), no nightshade (tomatoes, potatoes, etc ) and no legumes. These will wreak havoc on your digestive system and cause a lot of the side effects that are known to occur with Mounjaro. Make sure you are drinking lots of water (they recommend 1/2 Oz per how many pounds you are per day. So example, 300 lbs =150 Oz water per day) . Lastly, everyone on YT stresses to get your protein in and make that a priority. I am wishing you well and will follow along since we are both starting pretty close together. ❤
@ByeByeBellyАй бұрын
I hope it goes well for you too! I'm only on low dose but I haven't really had much change in my digestion. Fatigue & insomnia were more noticeable for me
@alwayzsicАй бұрын
You can do this, I’m on zepbound and lose 14 pounds, I started back in February, slow progress but better results, the stomach acid reflex could be amount of food your eating, I get the same way when i eat too much calories. Drink lots of water and if you can take magnesium pills, with will help with muscle pain and help you 💩. I would have took what was left the vial and inject it. Could be why you were still hungry a lot . Good luck and keep doing it, i look forward to your videos ❤

Hi, im a new subscriber! Loved seeing what you are eating. My fatigue is off and on still usually the first couple days after injections. I’m on my 14th week right now but the first three weeks were the very worst for sure.
@ByeByeBellyАй бұрын
I already have fatigue every day so I'm not a great judge of it, but I had some insomnia from mounjaro and general metabolic changes I could feel that I think are making me even more tired. Plus I'm trying to do a lot of general activity & workout regularly. The fatigue has started to really grind on me because I just get so sick of being 24/7 exhausted but I'm hoping that will change from weight loss and improving health
@ByeByeBellyАй бұрын
Do you find your body gets used to the medication? Does your appetite increase over time if you stayed on the same dose?
@HeatherPaulineWeightlossАй бұрын
@@ByeByeBelly yes, I had a rough 3 weeks in general, sleep was worse then ever. I greatly changed the type of food I was eating about a week before I started the medication too, so my body was not happy at all but it definitely gets used to it over time. I just went up in dose this week so that’s probably why I’m experiencing way more fatigue again. Also I am terrible about getting enough water and that can greatly affect fatigue. I’m bouncing between compound tirzepatide and Zepbound (same exact medication as mounjaro just approved specifically for obesity/weight loss) and yes my appetite increased a little as I got used to the medication especially on days 5-7 before the next injection but now that I’ve just moved to 7.5mg im feeling the full benefits again
@ByeByeBellyАй бұрын
@@HeatherPaulineWeightloss yeah I'm on day 7 of the injection (of this second week) and the hunger is definitely coming back. The med makes me so thirsty and I get a lot of fluid retention. You can definitely feel that it's a bit dehydrating. I've become less tolerant to salt. I'm trying to drink plenty of water but the med makes me pee so much as it is 😂

I hope it works for you. I’ve heard great things about it. Especially for reversing liver issues and helping with binge eating. It’s interesting that you get vials. It’s only auto injectors here in the US. There’s no vial option. Vials seem better for more gradual titration. If you are experiencing side effects, you can lower your dose a bit and keep it there until you adjust. Also often people feel that they have to keep raising their dose but if you are losing at a certain dose, you can stay there until you stop losing.
@ByeByeBellyАй бұрын
Yeah, I want to stay on as low dose as possible. I heard that the US is having more severe shortages because of the pen - that they've run out of pens and not the actual medication. The pens would technically be safer, although I've been on Reddit and have seen people saying they accidentally injected themselves twice, or the medication didn't make it into their skin and shot into the air!

@@ByeByeBelly what dosage are you one
@Sila-ml6qgАй бұрын
@@ByeByeBelly Hello, I am from Germany and have been taking Mounjaro for 18 weeks. At first there were only bottles and now pens that you can dose. Only the USA has these disposable pens. There is no point in dosing “as low” as possible if you really want to lose weight. Dose according to plan and it works sensationally!
@alaska3120Ай бұрын
It’s a shame it’s not subsidised as weight is such a huge medical problem for people. Food is costly though so if it helps reduce food costs over time might equal out a bit. Do the higher doses cost more?
@ByeByeBellyАй бұрын
I think ozempic may be, if you're diagnosed with type 2 diabetes but my fasting glucose was a bit under the diabetic cut off. Mounjaro isn't covered at all though, even if someone has diabetes. It might be in the future, but it's pretty new. It generally has a lot less side effects than ozempic so maybe it will be subsidized in the future. I've heard of people in the US paying over 1000 per month for ozempic, so $340 isn't the worst! Chemist warehouse lists the next dose (5mg) as $84.99 per vial which is the same as what I paid, so that's good.

Oh I didn't even realise it's already on KZbin hahah. It's going to be a snippet on a TV show too. Yeah it was really good. I've never been able to eat low calorie but stay satiated like on that program. I've tried to do high protein, smaller portions etc for myself but I do a lot better with proper structure. I've tried to do this with fridge meals that get delivered, but they weren't as high protein and the frozen ones actually tasted fresher, maybe they snap freeze them or something? I'm not sure but I really liked a bunch of the meals and it made it so much easier to lose weight and so quickly. But I did the be rapid high protein one. You're not meant to stay on the rapid programs. You do it and then you only replace one or 2 meals a day to either maintain or keep losing some weight

Can you tell us what the percentage was for the abnormality? I just tested positive for trisonomy 21 and it said 90.4%. Has anyone had that high of a percentage and it turns out to be false?
@ByeByeBelly8 ай бұрын
NIPT was designed for trisomy 21 so it's very accurate for that. There are very rare occasions where it's false but it's usually accurate, especially if PPV is high. Rarer trisomies and subchromosomal detections are far less accurate. Usually doctors will recommend CVS or amniocentesis to confirm. CVS can be done sooner but isn't as accurate as amniocentesis. But CVS is more accurate for trisomy 21 than many other conditions, as trisomy 21 is rarer in the placenta without being in the fetus. That said, there are cases where NIPT is inaccurate for trisomy 21 as well, it's just much rarer than some other conditions. Praying for you 💜 there is a community on Reddit R/NIPT
