Hi, very interesting. I have a doubt though since I don't see any seal at the top of your jar. Normally this kind of jar goes with a rubber seal. So I am not sure your jar is really sealed...

That one jar had so much going on in it. Just trying to think of how vast the oceans are. The amount of life they contain is mind blowing.

im trying to create my own eco jar and I have a question. do I have to use led lights or can I just use natural sunlight by my window. if I do use sunlight does that impact the plant growth?

Feel like there must be some way to get a plant in there, like a super extremophile cactus of some sort.

If we were put into a utopia, the first thing we'd do is destroy it just for something interesting to happen. Try living your life with no challenge, therefore no meaning, you'd kill yourself.

I know this video is pretty old - I live in NYC and am thinking of creating one of these! The Hudson River water definitely isn’t as clean looking as the water you collected here but I’ll try my best

Thank you, your jars are so cute!!! I have a question for you... Can I make one of this beautiful mini eco system, simple with wood gifts? Like wood, diverse types of musk, soil, some little plants or succulents?

Ok... If you didn't add anything to that jar... Going to the beach just added exponential multitudes of oh hell no! That was seriously crazy fascinating. I am truly interested in some identifications of all that crazy stuff as well as routine updates of the goings on.

When the nymphs grow how do you release? Here we have beautiful blue dragonflies around. They grow in the water. But i would have to release them….
@jarplanet
@jarplanet Жыл бұрын
From the ecospheres I’ve made, the nymphs typically don’t live longer than a few weeks. Maybe you could spoon them out before they die?

Going to do this with my 2 girls here in Ireland. Cant wait. But how do we replenish oxygen in the water? Do the plants do the job ? Thanks

Wow! How cool! Yes, the plants and algae replenish oxygen. Best of luck with your ecosphere!

Great. We ve done it today … although the substrate in an Irish river is very very muddy indeed. Much muddier than yours… Yikes. If it settles that would be cool.
