Sunrun installed a defective roof on my house about 2 years ago. I could never get anybody to come out. Finally they made me sign a paper under duress to get someone else to fix it. I was under the rest because there were open range that someone would not address they wouldn't offer to temporarily pass the house or put a tarp on or anything so I was forced to use this other contractor. However one yet more damage showed up from the faulty roof they tried to blame the the company that made the repairs. But it was Sunrun who installed the the bad roof. I contacted a company to repair the further damage they gave me a quote of 23,000 to fix all the faulty construction on the roof even though the roof has a 25-year warranty Sunrun refuses to come out and fix it any longer. I will actually have to pay to fix this roof out of pocket even though I had a 25-year warranty. Sunrise abandoned me and never Rose to the occasion at any time. Endless emails and phone calls to various people all purporting to help

I'm considering getting a Lightning and I think the mobile charger might be the preferred choice at the moment. I care less about the "smart" BS built into other chargers, since, from what I can tell on their reviews, they're finicky and glitchy, and malfunction half the time. I just want a charger that works...every time. Can't believe Ford don't supply the portable charge cord with the Lightning anymore. That's just ridiculous. The Ford Charge Station Pro looks massive in comparison to the portable charger, but if the portable charger is hooked up to a 240v plug, they're supplying the same power, right? So why bother with the Pro? Just curious.
@benwintermute28043 ай бұрын
Just got a lightning and this charger was included. So far it's getting the job done. Only charging to 80-90% for battery health but even after driving 150 miles today on 90%, I'll easily be charged up tomorrow morning. Getting 6.6 kw and scheduled charging to off peak hours (9pm-7am) where I live because electricity is way cheaper when the grid isn't stressed. The charge station pro is hard wired, meaning not just plugged in, and should charge a full battery in 8 hours which is considerably faster. But it's a matter of how often do you drive more than 250-300 miles in a day. If you drive long distances regularly, I'd upgrade. If 150-200 miles is the most you typically drive, stay with this charger and see how much fast charging you do, then make a decision.

The negativity (and ignorance) on this post is astounding. Crazy how offended people get by other people’s life choices that don’t affect them. 😂 Not everyone that drive EVs are driving them for whatever political reasons people in this thread seem to feel. Different strokes for different folks! Keep it up, Joseph, and keep the content coming!

This video needs to be updated as depending on the size of your infotainment screen and with the new Android auto you can no longer move those widgets it shoves Maps up in this crappy little rectangle up at the top now and puts your weather and your music down at the bottom and you can't swipe either one away anymore

What I'm getting with 120V charging is about 1.15 KWH per hour with the Ford portable charger discussed in the video.. I get around 2.2 miles per KWH so I get about 2.5 miles per hour of clock time which isn't bad because you can add 25 miles in 10 hours. I also have the Ford Charge Station Pro but when I need to do 120V (household outlet) charging the portable charger works really well. . Now the Ford Charge Station Pro is completely badass - last time I charged on it I added 71 KWH in 5 hours and 25 minutes. So in that time I got 158 miles of range. I have the long range version F150. I highly recommend both products - the portable charge and the Charge Station Pro.

The money you allegedly “saved” over a gasoline truck is eaten up by the horrible range when you actually use it as a “truck” and your time must be worth nothing since wasting two hours waiting for your vehicle to charge is money and time lost.

That charging stop was ~20 min so don’t know where you got the 2 hours from

What a waste of money time in life having to sit in your vehicle for 30 minutes to an hour to charge only to go 500 miles meanwhile, as people with gas vehicles will fill up one time and go that whole 500 miles while having the AC on jamming the radio and doing 100 miles an hourand then take another five minutes to fill back up and go another 500 miles

@@JosephHerzog did you ever figure out that time wasted yet ??? I guess driving alone...you are not under any type of time restraints ...I filled up last Thursday', I fill up at half a tank to keep it under 40 dollars..( according to my city driving habits , the computer put me at about the 370 mile range) It takes me about 2 weeks to get to half tank. We just hit 90+ degrees here in Chicago, we've been running our home A/C and our cars A/C for over 3 weeks. What is the EV range loss while driving with the A/C on and having the A/C on while charging the car, is the charging time increased ? Are these situation highlighted in the owners manual ?? Like on the passenger side mirror.. Objects are closer than they appear. EV range may very if the A/C is on or you tow anything with the vehicle....A tonneau cover over the truck bed would help with aerodynamics, thats like a big parachute when the bed is open to the wind...

I wouldn't buy a car that a company has to give away at a loss because it costs more to make than it's valued. They could stop producing / supporting it at any moment in order to cut their losses. That doesn't sit right with me.

If I remember correctly, Ford advertised it as a home charging solution. I don’t know of any detriment to the battery for repeatedly SLOW charging, only detriment if you repeatedly FAST charge to 100%. My battery health at 10 mo. Ownership was 100% 😀
