While tracking down the transcription I had read for this I found that this was based on a 4E Dungeon Master's Guide campaign idea. Some people might grumble about people's campaigns or stories not being original but... Really, who doesn't steal a few concepts when they're running a game? Pulling from the DMG is an obvious choice, but you can pull from movies, books, other games. Have you borrowed anything for a campaign?
