The comments already mentioned it, small hole first, big hole second. Good work none the less. Some one may make a purpose made bit that drills both at the same time.

Hi Zack, I'm also using sub 223 with a can, and wondering how you get yours to cycle with the lower charge. Did you change the spring?

**Yes at 3.5 grs you will barely hear anything but there is no way it will cycle and AR so I'M GOING ALL THE WAY TO 6 grs on the AR AND STILL NOT CYCLING so I order a gas adjusting block and reducing the buffer spring pressure and hopefully that will take care of the cycling problem in my AR otherwise i will still have the supersonic sound🪀⚡🪀

Basics of drilling any hole is ALWAYS start with smaller/or pilot, as your larger/ or countersunk hole will always be true to it. Just an Fyi

Zack ... you're wearing ears shooting subsonics out of a bolty through a can? And then you complain about not being able-to ..... okay wait, was just about to tune-out and unsibscribe but then, just now, you took the muffs off. Thanks for the video.

If the projectile is stable at 25 yards it will be stable throughout its entire flight especially subsonic it will never go through the transonic state that will disrupt it plus a bullet gets more stable as it continues down range

Hi Bob, I've tried sub sonic 36 to 77 grain in the same rifle. Plenty of trials looked good at 25, then fell apart at distances from 50 to 200. The lighter bullets had the best stability. Without a filler, velocity is not consistent. With a filler the suppressor soils quickly. Tried 5 different pistol and shotgun powder, including Trailboss. Waiting for 22 blackout out now. 22 TCM might work with a one in three twist, or a 223 case of half the length and said twist. Let me know if there is a better option please

So, the video is appreciated. I've got almost the exact same setup .... Ruger American Ranch in 5.56, the can, the glass, etc. Couple of things you may want to consider. Always work-up subsonic loads from the top down rather than the bottom up (to avoid squibs or obstructed pipes). Always keep the ranges short and shoot into cardboard or paper to make sure your rounds are not keyholing. It is advisable to lube your pills when rolling your own subsonics ... but that's a preference thing. Wish you had been more forthright with info, such as .... we must assume you were using fluffy Trail Boss, correct? Comments on case fill? As you went to 7 grains did you notice any pressure signs? What can is that on your rifle? What glass? Vortex II? What pill weight? 52, 55, 62, 69, 75, 77 grains? Did you try any other propellants such as H110 or N310, etc? What pill in terms of FMJs or JHPs? What primers? All of these things might help us to understand the lobbing you were experiencing out to 150 yards ... which is waaaaaaay too far to really test these loads. Anyway, thank you for the video. I liked, subscribed and commented (obviously) so may the algorithm gods smile favorably upon your channel ... keep it going. More pertinent info per second will get you there friend. Beautiful backdrop, the area in which you reside and shot this video.

thats exactly what i was thinking. 625f to melt lead, 2500f for the barrel. but i know nothing on the subject either and would likely just replace the barrale as well

It looks like there’s very little recoil with that rifle in 223.. after a bad whip lash I got I can’t handle recoil like I used to. Would you recommend the ruger in 223 for that reason ? I shoot a crossbow rn and I feel like it has more recoil that a lot of guns

Quick two questions I had to skip through your video because my daughter acted up where did you get this kit for a 597 and do you have a bull barrel or heavy barrel I'm not sure what it's called back in the day when I bought at my buddy told me that it was a bull barrel and that even though everybody else that I talk to him when I was getting 222 they all was riding the 10 22s nuts nothing wrong with that it's a great gun but I couldn't see paying for $500 for a 22 that I wasn't probably going to use as much as I would $189 one that actually came with an optic which I thought was going to be garbage but actually works Willie Orwell 50 to 75 yards is what it's 0.dat and it's dead accurate and with that Barrel my buddy even said that he wanted to come back and get one as soon as possible and they only had one left when I bought mine he wanted it so bad because the way it was set up with that barrel for some reason that he asked if I could spot him the money and he get it back to me and I said sure and they had no more left in stock I think you went back once or twice and then gave up on it but I want enough acquiring one of these so-called fancy way better 10/22 sand yeah it feels more solid because it's wood and it's a lot heavier it doesn't feel as sleek and it said our economic out-of-the-box and my buddies right there something about that Vero it is a very precise surgeon like tackdriver and my other question is I heard a rumor about that bull barrel and I looked the other night when I was playing with it tighten the scope up and clean then it off and it look like that it had internal threading starting from the beginning of it going inside the gun I don't know why they would make internal threading for a barrel especially if the barrel is only big enough for a 22 round to go through but it was very beefy a lot more to it than just rifling it looks like it could have been just those standard rifling I was just ruined by your kid I've never seen a kit like that for the 597 just the Ruger models the 597 only had like four five Archangel cats back in the day that I seen and I didn't like the style of them no ar-style no modern gun type Styles pretty much of M14 style and another version of a long gun stock maybe it was water longer I don't know or shorter I just didn't care for any of them but I love what you have if you get a chance again I'm sorry I'm going to hop off here let nature take its course and get the shitz done that I need to get done but I had to stop and ask about your setup because like I said I've never seen anything like that for the Remington and I'd like to scroll through and look to see what they have now I can't find anything and America everything I look up or Google has the European #before the price unless you're over there I didn't even watch the video that much it didn't sound like it but then again I was distracted I just seen Remington 597 and heard conversion or seen it and then saw what you were working with and had to immediately comment before looking in the the description of the video or listening to the video to see if you say where and how much they don't sell stuff like that in Maryland anything that resembles what they consider an assault rifle which in my head is what they're running around and Iraq with right now that's fully auto but that's another story I'm not going to get into but I would love to pick up something like you have and go crazy with the Amazon air gun attachments with it because they work perfect on 22s and I know they do because I have ever guns that are more powerful than the 22LR they hold up great and I would love to have a kit that had like an M Lok rail or something to where I can put a grip on it and totally deck it out for no reason McGriff is not even needed on that it just looks cool LOL and a big ass block Lee's or on the side with a long scope and then aside. Red. Where you got to turn it like a Navy SEAL Operator just to be that douchebag LOL just kidding have a great day if I don't hear from you I'll do some some research and again I apologize about the rent I just got excited knowing that there's options for the 597 that were never out there before that I seen and I'm excited because I can shoot that all day for 15 bucks for 1000 rounds or less thanks for your time if you read this whether you can factory or not have a great day be safe and keep that plinking going 🤜 🤜
