The comments already mentioned it, small hole first, big hole second. Good work none the less. Some one may make a purpose made bit that drills both at the same time.

Im sorry if you mentioned it in this video but what size bullet size (grains) got stuck as a subsonic loading?
@zikiflx6 ай бұрын
**Yes at 3.5 grs you will barely hear anything but there is no way it will cycle and AR so I'M GOING ALL THE WAY TO 6 grs on the AR AND STILL NOT CYCLING so I order a gas adjusting block and reducing the buffer spring pressure and hopefully that will take care of the cycling problem in my AR otherwise i will still have the supersonic sound🪀⚡🪀

Basics of drilling any hole is ALWAYS start with smaller/or pilot, as your larger/ or countersunk hole will always be true to it. Just an Fyi

This video promotes funding the ATF which breaks the laws all of the time. 100% unconstitutional. Keep feeding those wolves your sheep dumbasses.

Zack ... you're wearing ears shooting subsonics out of a bolty through a can? And then you complain about not being able-to ..... okay wait, was just about to tune-out and unsibscribe but then, just now, you took the muffs off. Thanks for the video.

If the projectile is stable at 25 yards it will be stable throughout its entire flight especially subsonic it will never go through the transonic state that will disrupt it plus a bullet gets more stable as it continues down range
@NelsonZAPTM11 ай бұрын
Hi Bob, I've tried sub sonic 36 to 77 grain in the same rifle. Plenty of trials looked good at 25, then fell apart at distances from 50 to 200. The lighter bullets had the best stability. Without a filler, velocity is not consistent. With a filler the suppressor soils quickly. Tried 5 different pistol and shotgun powder, including Trailboss. Waiting for 22 blackout out now. 22 TCM might work with a one in three twist, or a 223 case of half the length and said twist. Let me know if there is a better option please
@GalloPazzesco Жыл бұрын
So, the video is appreciated. I've got almost the exact same setup .... Ruger American Ranch in 5.56, the can, the glass, etc. Couple of things you may want to consider. Always work-up subsonic loads from the top down rather than the bottom up (to avoid squibs or obstructed pipes). Always keep the ranges short and shoot into cardboard or paper to make sure your rounds are not keyholing. It is advisable to lube your pills when rolling your own subsonics ... but that's a preference thing. Wish you had been more forthright with info, such as .... we must assume you were using fluffy Trail Boss, correct? Comments on case fill? As you went to 7 grains did you notice any pressure signs? What can is that on your rifle? What glass? Vortex II? What pill weight? 52, 55, 62, 69, 75, 77 grains? Did you try any other propellants such as H110 or N310, etc? What pill in terms of FMJs or JHPs? What primers? All of these things might help us to understand the lobbing you were experiencing out to 150 yards ... which is waaaaaaay too far to really test these loads. Anyway, thank you for the video. I liked, subscribed and commented (obviously) so may the algorithm gods smile favorably upon your channel ... keep it going. More pertinent info per second will get you there friend. Beautiful backdrop, the area in which you reside and shot this video.
