The police driver was 100% at fault, if they are going to drive through a red light they need to ensure they are doing so safely, making sure all other road users have seen them and acted accordingly. This police officer did not and just kept flying through the red light, thinking that he had his blues and two on could just go. He was wrong. The BMW driver, on the other hand, did nothing wrong.

Yeah it looked nasty. Riding on greasy roads feels a bit like rolling the dice, I know some people only have a bike as a mode of transport but I wouldn't fancy riding in the winter over here with the state of other people's driving.

@@Weakeyedominant Those other drivers keep you on your toes. Although I ride all year at my time of life I now have a choice of transport if the weather is really bad, although strangely rain doesn't bother me so much as very windy weather, snow and ice nowadays is a definite no no as I don't bounce like I used to.

​@cloudmaker I rode for 10 years all year. Hung my leathers up 2 years ago. Frozen fingers was my biggest hate or really sunny days after it's just rained. The glare!! 😂

@@real-eyes-realise-real-lies Hello there sorry to hear you've hung up you're leathers, I'm hoping to carry on for a few more years yet even got a selection of smaller bikes for when that time comes. Cold fingers are not nice and if your not comfortable while you are riding it can really make the journey a horrid experience. Now I've never had heated grips, actually never had heated anything but for hands I have my old leather gauntlets, had them for at least 15 years proper things, anyway I found that wearing those disposable latex like gloves under them really made a difference, I'd change to a fresh pair at every fill up or rest stop. I know what you mean about the glare and as I'm not a sunglasses wearer my last new helmet included a flip down sun visor, I was sceptical at first but it really does help. All the best.

The wide angle lens on the camera makes the vehicle look a lot further away than it actually is.

He should have traveled at a speed that allowed him to stop if needed. Clearly going too fast for the road conditions. He knew the road was "wet and greasy"

Did look as the rider tried to rev bomb at first instead of trying to brake, also you notice how the woman driving the rangerover is squatted down crying instead of checking.. appears she wants the attention 😂

@@poundsy7598 yeah for me too much front brake on wet ground and I was face planting the floor 🤣, maybe she was in shock , the thought of her actions caused it, I'm not sure, but man it looked like a heavy hit

Yep, and he starts the clip late. Looks like he had lots of time to slow down, use the back brake. I know it is wet, were his tyres fully up to tread?

@@darthkek1953 yeah, to me he just grabbed a handful of front brake and the bike just went on him, same with me, my tires are good loads of tread, the bike just went. but agree, strange the clips starts with him grabbing the brake, seems odd to start it at that point.

My first accident was too much front brake in the wet. Was also meant to be my first day at a new job, got a couple of days off! Bike was fine

Maybe if he had his wipers on, even on intermittent, he may have be able to see the BMW better.

What I found odd about that incident was the BMW had blinker fluid left!!!

The third party won't be prosecuted at all and the Met driver will very likely face disciplinary action if not prosecution. Why do people like you make up nonsense?

I can't see how the victim of this appalling driving by the (supposedly highly trained) Police Officer could possibly found at fault with this damning evidence!

Supposedly highly trained officer responding extremely dangerously resulting in injury to the public. The officer will face very minor disciplinary if any and will be on full pay for an investigation that can go on for years! The 3rd party will probably struggle to receive compensation through insurance as Police drag their trotters and have no regards for the public only themselves. No accountability.

An emergency vehicle on blue lights has to treat a red light as a give way, not a carte blanche to treat it as if it’s not there. The police officer driving will be suspended from driving duties and reported to the police complaints authority. Also the police driver could be prosecuted for dangerous driving.

You mean a segregated left turn lane? That's what they call a lane that bypasses a roundabout. Certainly room for one although it would cut a farmer's field in half. Not sure they knew what slip roads were when they built the A12, my dad refused to use the one at B1070 because it was so short.

Are you for real? The car overtook the cammer and then slammed on their brakes. Why overtake if they were planning to pull over to the hard shoulder? Your road awareness is shocking.

...and you know there isn't a vehicle to the cammers right? Just because one doesn't come past doesn't mean there isn't a competent driver on the outside who has observed and slowed!

100% police officer’s fault. They are allowed to break the traffic rules but ALWAYS have a responsibility to do so safely.

Not excusing the copper, but the car driver should have heard the siren and been more cautious.

Agree, Police still have to obey the rules of the road and a red light still means red. However they can go through a red light but only when its safe to do so (it clearly wasn't here).
