My guess is, Alessa was *never* going to die anyways and God within her would have kept her alive (something flat out said for the first game to explain how she even survived and is later the explanation for why Valtiel resurrects Heather should you die in SH3. And I think the person telling Travis to "let her burn" actually isn't Alessa, but God within. Besides, if Alessa wanted to burn to death, she wouldn't clear the path for Travis. And I think you forget that a large portion of the town of Silent Hill is in on the cult and SH2R further expands on higher ups within the Town specifically helping with cover-ups too (and Vincent is alluded to being wealthy and influential within the Town as well in SH3). Firefighters and cops going "well, nothing suspicious happened, it was just a boiler that started it" means very little in terms of evidence to me that this contradicts lore. As someone who enjoys the lore, this actually does make sense despite many other inaccuracies funnily enough.

56:55 apparently it has to do with what setting you have while starting the game. there's basically a metro 2033 survival mode and a Last Light Spartan mode. One has less resources and lower health, and spartan mode has more ammo and resources and better health.

Metro 2033 on the switch is fucking awesome.

Operation Raccoon City was a pretty fun spin-off. It made me wish the game actually followed the franchise's canon and that Capcom would be a sequel. They have a perfect setting for this : Sheena Island, where RE Gun Survivor takes place, aka the "Second Raccoon City" according to RE0. Umbrella sent the USS there to clean up the mess caused by the outbreak. An Operation Sheena Island game would be so cool. On a side note, sorry to be that guy but I can't help but remind you that the t-virus zombies of the Raccoon City Incident were not technically undead. They were living people who were made to look corpse-like by the virus.

I loved it. Does it drag at times due to the runtime? Yes, especially in the last 3rd, but the atmosphere, story, acting, characters, and even the combat, more than make up for that one shortcoming. Though I think the runtime does hurt replayability. It's why I haven't done a second run.

Always wanted to play Silent Hill games but never had a chance to play the OG and actually I am happy I never had the oportunity because I enjoyed the remake. I totally understand that OG fans may have issues I get It if I played the OG I would probably be more critical for sure and comparing the two ans I say that again I am glad I have never played this game before because I could enjoy it fully. It was very intense, the atmosphere and almost constant sense of dread. I remeber getting to the blue creek apartments I actually felt my stomach was in knots from anxiety and I had to take breaks. There was a point in game I thought I could never finish it I could play Max 20/30 minutes I felt so opressed by it. So I think they did an amaizing job with this game.

I know I'm very late to the party, but this is the first time this video has popped up for me, in regards to Resident Evil 7. Great video, but I completely disagree that survival horror requires a 3rd person perspective. The original Resident Evil was supposed to be in 1st person, but they couldn't due to hardware limitations. So, in a way, Resident Evil 7 is more true to the franchise and survival horror than most of the franchise.

I rather play the HD remaster than this western developed garbage. These devs had no idea of the subtlety of the original and only copied the look of it paired with ugly character design and censorship. Combat: Terrible. Movement: Terrible. FOV: Terrible. Story: Terrible. Dialogue: Terrible. Lore: Terrible. Characters & character design: Terrible. QTEs: Terrible. Literally anything this game gets praise for was done before and better by other games, no games adopted this version of over the shoulder view so it influenced nothing. Decent graphics and map design, other than that, everything about it is garbage. They gave you easy access to a rocket launcher that 1 hit kills any boss and enemies run at you then slow to a crawl pace the game was that badly designed. This game revolutionised nothing.
