But why are nurses part of the SH3 enemy roster? Just like people rightfully complaining about Pyramid Head appearing in games outside of SH2, it doesn't make sense for Heather's mind to be conjuring up nurses like James did. All the other monsters in SH3 make sense, but the nurse is very out of place in the game.

The first time I really played it was a couple of years ago when I decided to play all three in a row. I had played DS through already, many, many times. I played DS2 but didn't remember every finishing it, but did this time. Then I wanted to tackle DS3; I had never paid much attention to the negative comments and reviews. I just wanted to play it What killed me was how they changed the GD button scheme from the previous Dead Space games. I mean, why? Can't play them consecutively without some profanity. It's been years since I did the trifecta and I don't remember the differences but they were significant. Still, I managed to kill that space thing at the end. I'm not sure if I could have changed it, I want to say that I looked in the setting but I don't think there was anything that resembled the previous set up.

Survival horror definitely is not and has not been dead for a long time now. Not since the early 2000s. So many good games came out from then to now. I get the concept of the video but the gender itself isn’t dead but it’s evolved. They aren’t all going to be “classic”. As much as I love the classics outlast encapsulated all of what they used to be.

This came on in the background again and I got the impression that you think the "Noosphere" is a CSG Gameworld invention. It was first writen about back in like 20s or 30s by some russian authors. It was a philosophical concept grounded in geology or theology, depending on whose version you were reading about. Since then, our knowledge has vastly increased obviously, but it was at one time being considered as a possibility. I think it's also important to remember that the original concept was more akin to the book, with aliens being the cause, so they did scale back from there lol

I was skeptical when the PC version said it recommended using a controller, but the occasional heartbeat vibe when James would get stressed really elevated some scenes for me and upped the creep factor of some of the dark hallways

Yo! "The WIld World of" series you do is one of my favorite things you do on the channel , have you ever thought of doing "the wild world of silent hill clones" or "the wild world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R clones" or anything like that? Although I guess some of the games youve covered in the RE clone series could easily fall into SH clones lol anyway great work!

Lone Survivor's story is so lame that I beat it and can't even remember it. It was going for the Silent Hill 2 thing where you could get multiple endings based on random unintuitive things you did, but I can't remember a single one. The whole thing reeked of an author trying to pull of cryptic and deep but didn't have the talent and just made a jumbled mess.

No, the collection graphics are superior to these wonky "HD re-models". The thing is... You need CRT monitor or CRT filter emulation to actually make the graphics look good witch correct aspect ratio from games settings.

37:44 that brightness adjusting when you look back and forth at different areas of the screen is still in the newest RE games. I don’t remember if I noticed it in RE3R, I’ll have to check but it really bugs me. It’s a strange design choice.

As for difficulty in SoC it's not only about damage and health, it's also about adding effects to enemies and the environment that is not present in lower difficulties. Things like psy damage that you cannot heal against apart from regeneration (making the brain scorcher apparitions really dangerous as opposed to pointless on lower difficulties) or the controller area effect (ringing ears and visual distortion with one in your general area - as seen in this video during the doctor cutscene). Also, don't use mods the first time apart from the ZRP. Mods break the game's tense and compact athmosphere if you ask me, and most break the art style in my eyes. As for the games, it's always been SoC > CS >>> CoP for me. SoC is THE STALKER for me, CS is, as you say, more of that, with more refinement, but a story that did not really do much for me, and CoP somehow lost me completely. It's more of a mostly storyless map with unconnected points of interest to go to, but the athmosphere I play STALKER for was just absent for me. I was worried that STALKER 2 would follow CoP, but luckily, they went with SoC. Great video!

I got the English Version of RE3 from Gog with HD mods installed for RE3! This is great!! There currently is no English tutorial that I was able to find on how to install those HD mods. The only tutorial that was clear with someone showing what they did was in German. It works but the door open/shut is now slow. That's it! I'll install the mods that were missed later. I skipped the final step in the video because the final step was installing the German translation of the game. I heard those mods need to be installed in a certain order.
