I actually hated the Christopher nolan version of the joker with heath ledger's performance being the only thing about the character that i consider good also i consider the you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain to be one of the dumbest most pretentious lines i have ever heard as for the movie itself i just consider it really boring every time i try to rewatch it i just fall asleep

What about Maude Apatow? Her dad Judd Apatow often casts her in his projects because even in shows like Euphoria, her lack of range is showing.

Nepotism gets you in the door. It takes skill and talent to stay in. Tori Spelling for example. When have you seen her in huge block buster roles?

True detective season 1 is a serious drama about 2 deeply flawed but morally good men coming face to face with institutionalized unrepentant evil. Night country is a CW drama directed by Zack snyder

I always thought it was over rated. It was good but like the video said other then Ledgers joker the other characters are mostly annoying. Cain's Alfred, Morgan Freeman's Fox and Oldman Gordan were bright spots also but the Batman was annoying, lots of really bad plot holes, two face was decent I guess

Who even saw Argyle? BDH is far from a bad actress, and to the average normie, her performance in Jurassic World isn't blatantly lower than Chris Pratt's, and people were so jacked up about all the dino action and how hot she looked that nit-picking at her acting chops wasn't really even noticeable or worth anyone's time. The nepotism is just a part of life in any career. Before the current teacher shortage we have, teaching was notorious for nepotism.

All I want is these nepo babies to admit that coming from famous and/or rich families helped them. Doesn't mean they're not talented or hardworking, but so much of success is getting your foot in the door, which they were born with.
@champ11593 күн бұрын
Why do you need them to admit that, though? What does this admission of privilege do for you? If a celebrity refuses to admit that their success is due to the connections that their families have, then that's their own delusion
@orangeechofilms3 күн бұрын
@@champ1159 Base level self-awareness counts for a lot. It means you have a least one foot in reality. I don't need anyone to do anything, but acknowledging that makes me and a lot of other people respect you.

0:22 "and it's not just newer stars" (names iconic names) 0:38 " i'll stop, but there's alot more" i think that the major difference between A-list actors of previous generations (who happened to quietly be nepo-babies) and modern day out-loud-and-proud nepo babies, who are handed actor jobs, is that (maybe ?) the previous generations put their effortful dues in, during or immediately after getting the thing. The A-list stars of yesteryear would want to learn and put work in to take care of it (ie, getting some sort of acting school training, even if informal or kept-quiet), and learn how to properly tend to their skills (ie, reading scripts and not only learning the lines, but delving into the character, and embodying their role, which to some degree, allows for a modicum of ad-libbing or improv) - while the modern (post-9-11) nepo-babies, arrogantly or ignorantly put little to no effort at improvement and upkeep of the behind-the-face skills, and as a result, everything they touch, is made lesser because of their presence and refusal to learn and become better, even if only Just-Slightly.

Isa Lopez is incapable of writing something better because she's a woke hack. It will be another piece of garbage, guaranteed. The genius of this show left with Nic.
@hermask815Ай бұрын
Nepotism is bad if a better performer doesn’t get the role. If the nepo baby is good, it’s still somewhat unfair, but it doesn’t affect the overall result. Playing the same role in every movie isn’t the problem, many others do that, like the Rock, Vin Diesel and so on.

I needed 7(!) attempts to get through this film, and succeeded today. It was absolutely terrible, and even Heath Ledger's performance, while solid, is hugely overrated. It makes me angry when people say this is the best movie ever. How many have you seen, 5, 4 of which were MCU?

I have so much negative things to say about this season, I don't know how to start. It contains everything I hate about modern cinema. Starting from "Strong woman, weak man" trope, Racism is bad but if a group of woman of color kills white scientists it's good and they don't need to be brought to justice. Spirals, time travel, ghosts, dead polar bears, reindeers throwing themselfs of clifs.... What was all this about? Just to finish with some cleaning ladies? Awful show, just awful.

One's personal opinion of an actor is usually the defining factor in whether or not someone thinks an actor is good or not. I never could stand Joaquin Phoenix in anything, for example. His "sad" performances come across as whiney, he's not the least bit physically intimidating in aggressive scenes, and he has a range of about four different facial expressions--all of which give me a strong desire to punch him.... but the bottom line is I just don't like the guy. He could be the best actor on earth as far as everyone else is concerned, but since I hate his guts, I'll never be one to hold that opinion.
