I lived in Trout Lake for 27 years, worked for the Forest Service for 13 of them. I've found bigfoot tracks, heard them and most significantly smelled them. My husband found a bigfoot bed in a cave very near to Dead Horse. We've had multiple UFO sightings. Saw the prints in Goose Lake. Searched for lost people. But the biggest mystery about the Big Lava Bed were the shoes we found while out patroling. Women's shoes, 24 of them in different sizes, states of wear, all either open toed and/or open heeled, thrown in two directions from a structure that resembled an alter, with 8 pairs represented. We gathered them up with alarm and presented them to the law enforcement slacker, who said "Did you ever think of this? Kids." The end of investigation. Funny. We never thought of kids.

That was my biggest fear while climbing through the pearly gates. I was barely hanging onto the slope with two ice axes dug in and my partner was shedding ice down onto me from above. It was thrilling but a fall there is easily a broken ankle at the minimum

Climb mount hood! I went up the pearly gates via the south side. I had lots of ice hitting me in the helmet. Just wait until they get further up. Or you can take the old chute to the left

I’ve hiked alone in Olympic peninsula. Climbed Whitney alone 3 times. I don’t bring a PLB. But I know my route and use gps. I’ve always came back. Hiking alone in itself is not inherently risky. However a guy was crushed by a boulder on Mount Whitney a week after I was in that exact same spot. I have had falling rocks coming at me before. It is scary.

I have found many lava tubes around Mt. S.t. Helen's, not ape Cave. Most of the lava tubes were under ground rivers before lava took over. I found a river underground in one of the caves, walked up it a ways

Hope all is going well for you and your family. They recently found two skulls in the area where Kristopher was lost. One of them is assumed to have been him. An update video when the remains are identified would be informative. Perhaps you could include John from the SAR team? I’ve been watching the whole playlist about your search for Kristopher. Thanks for the videos I enjoy watching them hopefully his family will gain some closure if it is him they found.

It appears a hiker/explorer may have discovered his remains. I did my own video doing an excursion into the Big Lava Bed a couple months ago. The GPS does not work in that area. There are several terrain features that are dangerous for falls and injuries. You need to be in good physical shape to go deep into that area and have some outdoor experience, I would not go back into that area again unless I had a hiking partner. I had a very weird feeling/vibe in that area also.

HUMAN REMAINS LOCATED IN EASTERN SKAMANIA COUNTY 08/22/2024 - On 08/10/2024, a hiker recreating in the Big Lava Bed, located within the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in eastern Skamania County reported locating human remains. The hiker found a human skull and captured the G.P.S. coordinates of the location. A deputy responded to the location the next day but was unable to locate the skull reported. The hiker volunteered to return to the area, accompanied by a Skamania County Sergeant, and the skull was recovered on 08/15/2024. Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed the remains belong to a hiker that went missing in 2013. The missing hiker was last observed in the Big Lava Bed and, after numerous coordinated search efforts, was never located. The skull, along with other remains located in the area, was transported to the Clark County Medical Examiner's Office for definitive identification. This is an on-going investigation and no risk to the public has been identified.

I've had episodes of poison ivy for over 60 years. Mostly as a kid playing army in the woods with friends at which point, we became the blister brigade covered in calamine lotion. Hot water feels amazing on poison ivy as i learned as a kid.

Hot water and poping the blisters, then spraying with alcohol or peroxide is how ive always dealt with poison ivy. And you're right nothing feels better than hot water hitting the rash
@4thdoctor2844 ай бұрын
Despite what is said popping the blisters does help-as long as it is done correctly. I would pop them with a needle and have a bleach dampened gauze pad ready. Once popped hold the gauze pad on the effected area to soak up and neutralize the fluid. After several minutes remove the pad. I would then use peroxide to clean the area. I've also used Clearasil to dry up the popped blisters after.

Its a mysterious plant that stays cool to the touch and has tiny orange flowers. The leaves should be heated in hot water, and applied to the rash . It is so soothing!
