I have a 1993 59 reissue OBG. Lemondrop flamed maplemcap. One piece mahogany body, fret nibs, long neck tenon. Genuine 57 PAFs. My luthier said it’s as pro a guitar as you could get. Sounds like greeny in the right hands!

Great choice and nice playing! I own a Mexican Road Worn 50's Stratocaster from 2017. I've always heard the Classic Player series were really nice as well, both essentially getting the American guitar treatment.

I like a guitar to have its innate sound, which gives it identity and character. The problem with Stratocasters is that you have 3 pickups and a 5-position switch. This gives a lot of tonal variations and takes away the guitar's identity. It's even worse when a humbucker and/or push-pulls are fitted, which makes it completely anonymous. If only they'd make a Strat with two pickups and a 3-position switch. Oh, they do! The Telecaster. Far better. Easier to play, with real character and a fantastic sound.

There is one for sale in Finland, now, in a shop called Kitarakuu (Guitar Moon). The price is reasonable, and I guess, I'd be interested in that. Do you still have it, and has the neck been acceptably stable throuhg the summer weathers?

I love my 1991 Les Paul Studio. Was once Artic White but its now a dirty kind of cream 😂. If i ever want it to sound sweeter or 'better' i can always swap in the 57 Classic pickups.

That’s a nice guitar you got, a keeper. I had a grey YG-6 with rounded pickups and badged as a Starway, 1965 I believe. The YG-6 is quirky but the Tokyo Electric Instrument Sound COmpany definitely made quirkier 😃

I think Gibson should optimize the production and make only two lines. A Vintage Series and a Modern Series. They waste to much money for cheap stuff. The Vintage Models can have a better price by a better production process. No one needs stuff like the the Classic and Traditional Series because they are not what a Gibson Guitar should be. They are Gibson branded but for me they are no Gibson guitars. Cancel it and make Reissue models more available. 😊 Also they should build Epiphones like the old japanese Fujigen made Orville and Epiphone guitars. There is so much useless Gibson stuff.
