This is the problem : Official D&d has been and is used to attack a race and sex demographic, if it was any other sex, demographic or both, there would be no "well lets just hand wave it and play" : If "NOPE!" is going to be the standard for everyone else, its going to need to be the standard for EVERYONE (no exceptions). Morality is either universal, or its some b.s. game of pick and choose who gets to be slapped around. D&d has never previously been used in this manner, and it never should have been. These things were never in ttrpg'ing largely prior, because again, they never belonged there. If this climate was being levied against any other group and your (whomever might be reading this) response would be some variation of "this needs to be made gone, and then we can get back to being a 'community' ", you (whomever is reading this) need to take the same stance now. There is no ' _WotC derangement syndrome_ ', there is no "well its all the same thing from the same sides" : There's a company that controls D&d and decided to use the brand and official creatives as an attack vehicle for their ideology, being upset about that and saying "get that garbage out of D&d" isn't anywhere near comparable to the company and people that decided to use D&d for that purpose.

Stepping away from the screen is always heathly, you are a person first and foremost. As you can see, a lot of people wish you nothing but the best and want you to succeed. sometimes the best thing you can do for them is take time for yourself. From one creator to another, I totally understand what the gamification of content can do. Add in life, and it makes for a wild concoction that needs constant balance and maintenance. Take care out there Bear. I, and many others will wait for your return, when the time is right for YOU.

Holidays are the best time to take a break, chances are always good that folks would miss anyway.

Good luck getting your head together, Bear. Dealing with the four pounds of nerve matter in our skulls can be a bigger struggle that fighting several armed assailants. I can tell you that from personal experience.

Get well, Bear. When I need to clear my head, I pack a lunch, some water, and head to the woods for a good walk. If I still smoked a pipe, I would pack it to. Nature helps me to recentre and refocus.

Good chat. Regarding the Star Wars RPG. Asmodee Group, the owner of Fantasy Flight Games span off the RPG part of FFG into a new company called Edge Studio. So the Genesys System, L5R and Star Wars are all under Edge Studio now. But they are the same games with the same same silly dice. 😆

i bought it off a friend for five bucks. played it some, but mostly just sat around making random characters. super fun. sometimes combined it with my mighty men and monster maker to get some art on the reverse side of our hero sheets

I remember when lower decks was initially hated because it was a cartoon but its the best modern trek. I was wrong. I always understood that each series has to be different and fresh. Can't have DS9 all the time and even that was not well received when it first game out but boy this modern stuff..

I just discovered Heroic. It's in upgrade to everything I've seen regarding FASERIP/4C and in my option superior to any other superhero system. It's not the most crunchy, it's the most intuitive and that makes everything so much easier to rule and remember.
