1 pack of Sage & Onion Stuffing mix 6 - 8 pork sausages, skinned (I used cumberland) 1 tsp harrisa or chilli powder (optional) 1 tbsp apple sauce handful of fresh parsley, chopped butter, melted (to brush on top of stuffing bake) Make up the stuffing mix according to instructions on the packet in a large bowl. Once cool, add the skinned sausages, the apple sauce (or cranberry for festive version), parsley, add the spice if using and mix thoroughly. Spoon into a prepared tin, I lined 2 6 inch tins with baking parchment (much like a cake prep) and press down so the mixture is about an inch thick (you’ll have lots left over for the freezer or batch cook in more tins. Brush with the melted butter and pop into your airfryer BAKE on 180c/350f for 15 - 20 mins - check at 10 and adjust time accordingly, check temp with a temperature probe (75c or above) FESTIVE version: swap the apple sauce for the cranberry - go large if you fancy. Omit the chilli powder. Reheating from frozen: 190c/370f 10 mins on ROAST or AIRFRY (it doesn't really matter) it may need an extra 5 mins to brown off, I did mine at 200c/390f

I always make my stuffing up first with water then add the sausages and whatever else there is, always find it better that way, Alan's recipe looks yummy except my body doesn't like cranberries (arthritis) xx

Apple sauce could be very festive if you’re having roast pork & crackling, which is what I have :) Not everyone likes turkey or has it at Christmas! But for those that do, I think cranberry is a brilliant idea! Looks lovely! I do love stuffing. Lovely in leftover chicken / turkey or pork sandwiches ! X

That's true Laura😀👍💕 we've debated if we are even having a turkey this year- still undecided!

@@budgetcookinguk I honestly think people feel it wouldn’t be Christmas without one 😂 I remember feeling the same when I was younger! But roast pork & roast beef is half price on Clubcard in Tesco at the moment! Brilliant prices, in case you’re interested! xx

@@jennifermharvey9882 Yes, we used to have beef too, also a very rare treat as it’s so pricey now. Just as a heads up, beef is half price at the moment in Tesco on Clubcard along with roast pork ! I’ve just bought myself some pork & will return to get some beef for the freezer to make some lovely stews. x

Hi Kerry. Loved your stuffing recipe. I thought it would be a nice idea to make the recipe into a pie, adding four eggs on top before you put the top crust on. It would make a lovely picnic pie. you look beautiful in your photo. Keep up the good work. Pam.

I make something very similar to make sausages go further but top with pastry and it’s very popular with my family x
@LorettaWoods-rr7qyАй бұрын
Hi Kerry, I make a similar sausage stuffing recipe to this one, just adding a few fennel seeds and smoked paprika into the mix. I then I decorate the top of the stuffing with a fresh whole cranberry (or a fresh cranberry that I have frozen) in the middle and then about 5 - 7 cranberries spaced out around the edge of the dish (dependant on the size of the dish) which makes it look very festive, Merry Christmas! Kind regards Loretta

Yes I mentioned mixed herbs , being fresh is lovely . I also use sausage meat, as in buying a pack of sausage meat with chestnuts . I get this from our local butcher. . Pack of sausages would give you the same , never tried the cranberry m but I will give it a go , thanks for tips Alan all. Hope you enjoy Keery , it is lovely l I also make this but with apple if we have pork . Oh yes I also cook a fine chopped onion in some buttered water , until soft then add the stuffing mix with the water when cooled with the onions. Nice pic of you and your daughter , how time passes.

15:40 Don't have the tin foil in the shot. It washes the colours, and the reflectiveness makes it harder to get the focus right.
