I was searching for a book with "normal everyday easy" japanese meals. Like what I ate when I was at an exchange program in Japan. I miss the food so much. I found this book listed on a web shop here in Sweden so I searched for the book title and found this video. It seems this book is what I am looking for :)

This has been amazing. Thank you Nicole and Anna for geeking out on fruit so much! I have made Anna’s Strawberry Juice and it is one of the tastiest and most satisfyingly gorgeous things i’ve made. The ice cream is delicious as well (i must say i didnt bother dehydrating the strawberry ‘corpses’ afterwards, i just nibbled on them straight and they were still pretty great!). I was a little curious as to why there arent any bananas in the book but i guess the tropical fruit question partially answered that? Or maybe anna doesn’t like them so much? Anyway, great book and great talk! Thanks so much!

Both “A Table” and “Aperitif” share an exalted place in my collection of cookbooks. They are collections of simple, yet elegant recipes and thoughtful suggestions for entertaining. The photography is superb, and Ms. Peppler’s headnotes and comments are scintillating and humourous. I can’t wait for her next publication!

The quote about modern supermarkets being an “embarrassment of riches” for a menu is my favourite from this video. We’ve lost so many skills as we’ve modernized.

I've just ordered Tamar's book and am eagerly anticipating its arrival. It's not an idea totally foreign to me, but I'm looking forward to many more creative ideas. I love that I could get it spiralbound too!

According to Eurostat, Romania is the largest nut producer in Europe with 60,000 tons per year. There are 2 million nut trees, mostly owned by smaller farmers.

This is the baking book I waited for my entire life. My mother, who learned baking in Europe, used to make such cakes easily. I love what you said about the simplicity of flavor. Nowadays, there seems to be a competition to pile on flavors, they are actually quite "vulgare" as she would say.

buy Rancho Gordo beans and you don't have to soak beans because they're so fresh--cook a pound at a time and you have enough for at least 2-3 different dinners throughout the week.
