I love all your videos, but especially your interviews with Pearl and with Eli in Israel. I learn so much from all the people you interview when they discuss their lives whether or not they still remain in the Hasidim. If everyone in this world would try to get to know everyone’s way of life it would be a richer world for us all. Tolerance, love and friendship for all would go a long way to make our world a better place. Your 40th is just another year. Nothing more or less special that every year we are blessed to live through. All the best and look forward, not in reverse.

I was able to watch this video after signing off and then on again, just so you don't worry that there is a problem with your channel :) There are some people who commented on this video who only repeat what certain media organizations keep pushing. I hope that they will soon realize that they were wrong...but I doubt it. There are those who #WalkAway, but many are not able to let go of their beliefs. It is sad. So much hatred and nonsense being expressed. What I have noticed is that the right allows the left to speak, have their own views, and just be. The left finds it impossible to do the same. They censor, delete, unfollow, and attack. Your commenters/watchers have shown this to be true by and large. I appreciate how you stayed unbiased. I always appreciate how you deal with issues that are somewhat divisive. You are so calm, and it is really refreshing :)

Frieda, I am a Christian clergy woman, who grew up in Jewish neighborhoods in Toronto. My mother was in palliative care care in a much respected Jewish geriatric hospital. So when I found you, I was quickly hooked. You put out material in such a range of moods. Your tours of shops and streets preparing for holidays are such fun, transporting us to a community that is so different and yet the celebration vibe is very relatable. I grew up with kids who were the children of Holocaust survivors, in the 1960’s and found your visit to the survivors’s colony particularly touching. Your Get story was heart wrenching and I felt for you. In all your stories, I appreciate your gentle respect for others, your warmth, and your intellectual honesty as you present to all of us, a world that is important to understand. Thank you, and happy birthday

Its interesting, in yeshivish communities we were expected to wear dark stockings that didnt match our skin tone but we didnt have the seam on the outside. Btw, are you at all interested in making videos about the yeshivish/litvish community?

I enjoy watching your videos and interviews. I could see how much hard difficult work that U had put into each one! As for how it affected U in such a personal way, honestly, never really occurred to me; I am referring to how U began this video. I think of U as who U are now and that U came from a type of a Chassidic background. Yet U chose/choose to live your life now as who U are inside of the human being that U are in this world but w the varied/various knowledge of how U were raised in your early childhood thru to your adulthood; but then sadly U needed to make a huge Life Change for Yourself to consider how to continue to be True to Your Self which is very important Decision to have to make for anyone who realizes tht the way they were brought up years before their adulthood is not always the way thr they desire to live their life in adulthood. Yours seems very different to U as U see on Your Self now from how your Life is different in these days. As a person who also has chosen to live differently now than how I chose in my teen years when I was first beginning to want to learn more about myself and the Who I wanted to be as a Jew growing up in the States, I never thought that someday I might choose to live my future Life in Eretz Yisroel; yet here I am at age 62y old (my b-day being 21/12/62 w my Jewish b-day being on 24 Kislev. What I have learned about myself/My Self is that a part of my being Jewish is to learn to respect myself as My Self as I learned at the same time to try to follow the path and parts within my being a Jew to the best of my ability. For me, this means that how I usually feel means that I came to realize that I am more 'spiritual in livingmy life' than religiously observant; that I am very aware of this distinction of how I have chosen this path within my religious relationship w Him Above - that HaShem is always in Charge of the World and that I/We/U are all just individuals living here on this Earth w each person needing to truly understand the Who/the Essence מהות/משמעות,in Who they are as Adults. To be able to love and respect the others in this World and then we are being better human beings that I hope HaShem recognizes do that I can live my life as a 'proud' person without guilt. And even in my own chosen life, I still cling on to certain parts of a 'religious' lifestyle; I think before I put anything into my mouth and I say the appropriate beracha before I eat...And I also come to the realization of how important the beracha is for after one says after one uses the toilet (or as I usually tell my friends, thst I have 'been in the 'little room' because it is the smallest room in my apartment and in most of my friends), that I am grateful and appreciative to HaShem that my body works as best as it can considering that as I have gotten older, the beracha of the using of the toilet, because I struggle w urine incontinence. Blessings, love and prayers for all from Israel 🇮🇱. Peace for all on this Earth and in this World! Am Yisroel Chai = The Nation of Israel Lives/Israel Will Survive! Mikimi in Tzfat

Thank you Frieda…I love your videos. I am a 66 year old woman, born and raised in New England as a reformed Jew. We went to Temple on Sabbath and high holidays for many years until my father became ill. I attended Jewish summer camp in Maine and although my parents were not very religious..they only socialized with other Jewish people. My favorite video was the Catskills video. We went to Browns Hotel a few times as a family and loved it. Your gentle nature and kindness in interviews is what grabs me ….I find your content very interesting and look forward to many more videos next year. Thank you

Each and every one of your videos has warmed my heart since I discovered you last year. You interview each person with respect and tenderness. I need to add the talented comedian with the cell phone tied to her head at the beginning of the interview still makes me chuckle. Wishing you strength, courage, and humor for today and all your tomorrows. 💗
