When i was a child, we visited family in NY and got potato knishes at Jones Beach in the 50’s, delicious & a good memory. I saw your son in another video for just a few minutes, but this time he truly was your cohost. Great job Seth! I can see that you are a proud momma, rightfully so. 💙

Great video…I love knishes have and have eaten them forever. I am 76 years old and by far the best knish was my Bubbies, may she rest in peace. The highlight of visiting her in NY, was enjoying her cooking and especially knishes. Recipes were never written down, a little of this, a little of that, and they tasted the same every time. A taste that will never be replicated. Love your content.

I grew up eating knishes as a kid on 13 Ave. I didn’t realize how much I’d miss them when I moved away for school and then again after starting my family. I try to get some whenever we go home so my daughter will know the glory of a hot crispy knish with mustard. My mouth was watering just watching this one!

I LOVE knishes. I make my own and freeze them in big amounts each year. You are so lucky to have so many great eateries to choose from. I live in a community with virtually no ethnic fare, so I make my own. It works out well for me. These bakeries look so nice and clean.

There used to be a Mrs. Stahl'sin Brighton Beach, where you could get sweet knishes. Cheese with cherry, blueberry others. It was kind of of like a hot cheesecake, so good!

Very Nice as I grew up in Brooklyn in the east flatbush area and how I miss the Jewish Kosher food stores I am now living in Tampa Florida and we have the Chabad Centers here but there is no knish or meal mart type stores but when my friends visit me from Brooklyn they always bring me a Nosh from Brooklyn Be and stay well

I can say crispy is associated with clean oil. More brown doesn’t mean more crisp in frying. Lighter color clean oil. I make my husband fried chicken drumettes clean oil every time is best. I would love to try them all.

One month it could be pizza, another knishes, another rugelach, etc. I think people would love to get some type of comparison or rating of the food. I'd love to try out good food at one of the places sometime depending on how you rate it.

I remember eating knish in Toronto in the 90s, and it was like a brown minced beef filling with a liver taste, wrapped in this potato starchy kind of dough When I had this kind of bready knish for the first time in Jerusalem, it was a bit of a shocker.

It tasted like liver because it was liver I used to go to Stroli's from school at lunch time twice a week in the mid 60's. The knishes were 10 cents.

Nice video, good to see a healthy Mother/son relationship. I was disappointed with Yonah Schimmel in NYC because of their microwave use and was curious if these places in Williamsburg do the same and then you mentioned the microwave use at the end. Yes Flaum's looked the best and the gentleman behind the counter seems friendly and hip, plus an 80 year history. I am going to stop and try them out. Then I will swing by Oneg Heimshe Bakery for a $100 babka Thank you!

I spent a lot of time in Manhattan between 1969 and 1980, but the only knishes I had were from food cart. They weren't very good. What you are showing looks a lot better. I have cousins in Brooklyn but I doubt they were aware of the growing Hasidic community and its food.

I think the foodies have yet to discover the Hasidic community's food cultures. Ashkenazi Jewish food has such a bad reputation. But the truth is that Hungarian Hasidim are extremely into cooking and there's an incredibly rich food culture worth checking out.
