Thanks. Finally a decent explanation. The velux official one id a Joke! I still couldn’t get it off though. Ended up forcing it off with a flathead screwdriver 😂

Thanks for this, instructions also worked for the DKL model. The minor difference I can see is the clips shown at 5:40 are easier on the DKL but the instructions are perfect.

Wooow man I looked SO LOONG for a video showing how to get this damn thing out. Never would have figured it out without this video, thank you so much. Former tenant just left the blinder in the apartment and the people checking the apartment apparently just let her get away with it. Anyway it was soooo dirty and I've been trying for so long to replace it, now I finally got it off. Only thing left are the plastic things on the sides, not sure how to get these off

Just saved my sanity !! I kept searching for some screws or so to get rid off the cassette, thinking "even if it's broken I can't just rip it off?", well apparently that's exactly what I was supposed to do, took me a lot of strength but finally got it off thank you so much 🙌

The Velux video of this is absolute arse. Zero help whatsoever. Comments are off too, which says everything. This was much MUCH more helpful. Slightly different clips, but the process is just the same. Give it a little force and the cassette just pings out. 🤘🏻

3+ years on and still helpful. I saw that Velux 'blind removal' video - a complete joke! Thanks for sharing; will be doing both the blind removal and recall check tomorrow. I owe you a beer so liked and subbed 👍

Fellow Lr owner here...great vid...turned out that my blind had different plastic mounting lugs from yours...straight pull, away from glass and no pulling down...I suspect my blind is older than yours
@andrewgill47722 ай бұрын
I have a window with no slot in the plastic mounting. I found from the replacement blind that there are non return tabs on the cassette. These can be reversed by pushing a thin blade in horizontally at the top of the tabs that the side rails slide into and then the blind comes away.

Thanks for a clear video with the information you actually require to remove these blinds, the Velux information is just a waste of space. The info regarding recall is also beneficial and again not easy to find.

Thanks very much for that. The official Velux video does not explain how to get the cassette out at all and we were scratching our heads for a long time. Once we had seen your video and had seen that we had to get the right hand side out first and that it required a bit of force, we had the confidence to do it. Cheers.

Thank you so much for posting this video. You, sir, are an absolute star! That is the very kind of Velux blind I needed this information on. Great instruction and, as you have discovered, this is now the sole KZbin video relating to uninstalling this blind. I found one on how to fit it but, considering it ‘clicks’ into place, I was concerned that when trying to remove it, I would break one of the fittings. What is also so very helpful is the information you’ve provided on the Velux recall. Brilliant. Many thanks again and best wishes from the Giant’s Causeway Coast of Northern Ireland. 😀👍☘️

See the video is two years old... Very sad that you left your "daily driver" for all those years unattended to the elements... Each old series Land Rover has a soul, and needs constant love and attention.. Nice looking Forward Control rims on your baby truck... Got same on my Series ii 88" and Series iia 109". Glad that she's getting the attention that she deserves after serving you for 20 years... Going to see if you did anything since then, then we'll talk again 😡😡😂😂😂
