The information below is correct at time of writing - July 2021.
There is a problem with some of the older Velux skylights, which causes the inner sheet of glass in the glazing unit to spontaneously shatter. Velux will replace any affected glazing for free, even if the windows are outside of the 10 year warranty period.
I had five such windows which needed to be replaced, and this required that I remove the blackout blinds which were fitted to the windows prior to the work being done.
I looked on KZbin for a video showing how exactly to remive the blinds, and I couldn't find one. The official Velux one doesn't provide much detail, it simply states that you should 'unclip' them. It is, I believe, also related to the more modern, current design of blackout blinds being supplied for the newer window frames.
It should therefore be noted that my video applies to an older window blind. The ones I show were fitted in around 2002.
If you believe you may have some affected windows which are subject to this same product recall, you can find more information by following the link below.

I really hope that this video proves useful to someone.
If you found my video helpful, please give it a like, and if you have any interest in old Land Rovers or vehicle restoration, then you may enjoy some of my other videos - the main subject of my channel is the restoration of Shorty, a 1965 Series IIA Land Rover.
Many thanks for watching.
