I have a variety of brushes and certain brands you can. My sotar is one that you can’t. I alway by the flat cap that is without the prongs.

I have to say I do love the sotar had one many years ago and I loved it but no longer have one …I think I may need to look into getting another one at some stage 🤔👍🏻

Yep since watching I also have been painting with out the cover. I have however damaged the tip once so extremely careful now. 👍👍

Great to hear and yes you have to be careful as it can get very costly if you drop your brush when the air cap is removed 🤦👍🏻

I've been doing it and yes the tip will bend if you drop it. Picked up the "SharpenAir Needle Sharpener" very pricy but worth it, a new needle would have been cheaper but knowing me I'll probably do it again or have something else happen to the needle requiring repairing it.

Yes , you definitely have to be careful, that’s why I always put my airbrushes in a holder and use those rubber caps. The SharpenAir is fantastic you will use it for years so it will 100% pay for itself 😉👍🏻

I do remove the crown cap and it is amazing the difference how much finer you can go.

Since watching your channel I do remove the cap. I paint model planes in 1:72 scale and this way I can paint mottled camouflage very "relaxed".

Can I clean the airbrush with polyurethane thinner?

You can use urethane thinners just make sure your airbrush has teflon seals as if it has rubber seals then the thinners will eat them up 🤦👍🏻

Hey brother it’s Marc did you see the new airbrush called the BLACK WIDOW ! By harbour frieght ! If you can get one I’d love to see you put it through its paces ! It’s a carbon copy of a harder and steenbeck but it doesn’t have a tension adjustment for the trigger ?? Weird I haven’t used mine yet ! Most brands will have an option so that you can convert them into running with a flatter style air cap so that it simulates no air cap , glad you enjoyed the vid 👍🏻

Damp Magic Eraser... stab it with the needle tip during. I run my needles through magic erasers at the end.
