I'm genuinely impressed with how respectful of Christianity this is. There's a few places where, in my opinion, you go a little too far, but overall you focus on the (admittedly amusing) contradictions within the Bible without overtly trashing on people who believe in it. Well, you do make fun of people who take the Bible completely at face face value with no room for interpretation or error, but as a devout Catholic so do I lol.

I saw a video by Christian apologetics channel TektonTV where there was a playlist about "debunking" you. There was a video specifically addressing this video, 2 minutes in I saw a bunch of ad hominem and hyperbolic sarcasm in the video and was amused at the fact this person thought they were being funny. It's not surprising every video involving "debunking" had their comments turned off. The beating that channel had to endure in the comments was probably too much. I would feel bad if that channel wasn't some pretentious uber douche bag who laughs at you for not believing in Noah's ark and a dude who sacrificed himself to himself in order to save us from him. They even addressed a point you made where God could have dealt with the Canaanites better but instead made a false dichotomy saying the only way to do it was by genocide, idk what could be a better alternative probably almost everything else you can think of. Since this is the omnipotent creator of the universe couldn't he just show them that he was the true creator of the universe and not commit genocide, since he has infinite knowledge about everything shouldn't he be able to come up with a better alternative than slaughtering babies. Seriously Mr. NSC, if you haven't seen the playlist, do yourself a favor and check it out. It's hilarious that that person thought they were being witty. I get that person doesn't like being wrong but for God sake don't go out and embarrass yourself when you're upset. I know I'm kinda all over the place but forgive me, I can't stop thinking of the absolute ridiculousness this person tried to spew. They then went on to say that, most people support Hiroshima and Nagasaki, so there are events with large casualties in war that are seen as morally good. Since this person wants to bring up world war 2, since God is so loving and caring why couldn't he have just not created Hitler and/or figured out an alternative to prevent WW2 from ever happening saving millions of innocent Jews and allied soldiers. If you are so open to discussing WW2, then you just opened up a Pandora's box on yourself.

I have seen that guy's videos, but if you make videos in response to someone and then close comments, then the discussion is over before it even begins, so I don’t watch any of it. It just simply doesn’t exist. Either want to discuss the ideas or you don’t, and that guy doesn’t, so I’m not giving him a single minute's accommodation in my ear hole.

Oh, reading the Bible in context? It’s believers who take these entire documents out of context: the historical context in which they were written, during which errors, mistakes, miscopies, mistranslations, and deliberate changes were absolutely normal, natural, and expected. Copyists made mistakes and changes. They added things, omitted things, and fixed things that they thought the previous copyists had gotten wrong. They copied up incomplete copies, mistranslated copies, and unclear copies made on poor writing materials. There is nothing to justify a belief that these particular documents were each uniquely immune from the problems that effected all written texts up until the invention of the printing press. Similarly, there is nothing to justify a belief that not only that they were uniquely free of errors at every stage of the transmission process over centuries, passing through countless hands along the way, but that they actually come to us representing exactly every word that the original authors penned! Were the copyists thorough? Were the translations between the Greek, Latin, and Aramaic accurate? Were they complete? Would they have been disputed by other translators who might have been more skillful? Believing such a ludicrous and unsupported claim as that the bible texts come to us free of changes, errors, omissions, additions, agendas, etc, is to take the entire documents themselves completely out of context.

What if there's ONE account of 100 "witnesses". Were there 100 witnesses? Was there even one? How many? How would you know? Point me towards where there are 100 witnesses to a Bible miracle. Then construct an argument in which each witness, one by one, is established as being persuasive. Why? Because that's the degree of evidence that you would need before you accepted the truth of a CLAIM, right? Right?

@@NonStampCollector _Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep._ 1 Corinthians 15:6 ESV Remember that Nero (Roman Emperor from 54 AD to 68 AD) initiated one of the first major persecutions of Christians. According to historical accounts (Tacitus and Suetonius, as well as from early Christian tradition) Christians were arrested, tortured, and executed in gruesome ways, such as being burned alive or thrown to wild beasts. @@NonStampCollector Tacitus in Annals 15.44 and Suetonius in The Twelve Caesars both reference the persecution of Christians under Nero. These non-Christian sources provide external validation that Christians were willing to die for their beliefs. The willingness of early Christians to endure persecution and martyrdom strongly suggests that they were convinced of the truth of their testimony. People do not willingly die for something they know to be false. Ancient historical writing often relied on the testimony of eyewitnesses and oral tradition. The New Testament documents were written relatively close to the events they describe, within the lifetimes of many eyewitnesses. Denying the New Testament’s historicity would require a level of skepticism that would challenge the basis for much of what we accept about ancient history. There are over 24,000 manuscript copies of portions of the New Testament compared to far fewer for other significant ancient works.
