Totally agree about being social and not having a set routine. My kiddos and I LOVE our community. We live in a wonderful little town full of other young Catholic families and we spend a lot of time with them! It is so important for my husband and myself to cultivate that not only for ourselves but our kiddos. I set a normal rhythm but everyday is slightly different. It's just what works for us 🤷‍♀️

Thankfully I have a really easy going baby who will sleep just about anywhere. I agree too that it’s such an asset having sisters with older kiddos. As an auntie I’ve seen how quickly they grow and how short the time is - there’s no sense in sweating the small stuff. 💕

I should’ve known you were related to our oily house and farmhouse on Boone. You really look a lot like your sister from our oily house. I love them both so much. I look forward to their videos. I found you about two months ago and look forward to every Wednesday seeing you, I’m 74 years old. My children are grown been a homemaker for a lotta years. I did stay home till my kids were older and then went back to work. Retired and loving it and getting back to loving my home and cooking again.

I always say that we have a patterned day rather than a scheduled day because that’s what works for me, my toddler and baby, and our farm/homestead life. My scheudle is very loose . The only time it wasnt was when we had 4 kids , 3 with therpaies and multiple appointments, and sports . Nap time the least of our worries .

Many years ago I tried to get used to a cleaning routine and I realized that it was stressing me out more than anything. Now I just clean whenever it needs it. I don't have a weekly menu either, I just decide every morning what we will eat for dinner. It's just me and my husband, so it's pretty easy. I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone in not following a certain routine.

I'm A grandmom, or mimi as I'm called😁, but when both my now adult kids were babies, like you, we never did the schedule thing. Sleeping or eating.. if they were sleepy, they sleept and if the were hungry they ate, when they were on a bottle or breast feeding or solids. It worked well for both my kids & myself. The peonies are so pretty🌸 TFS!

Oh, my gosh. This is the first time I have watched your channel, and twice I checked the maker name because I thought I had somehow popped into an Our Oily House video! I am so glad you gave us info on your sisters; I thought I was losing my mind. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
