Ever since your men-at-arms days, you have spoiled blade or sword making videos for me. When I watch other blade makers doing cold stacking and tact welding, it just doesn't feel right. The lack of anvil and hammer work totally killed some videos for me. I hope you guys pass on your skills. Forging old school, like traditional joinery, is one of those things that need to be preserved.

As a piece of art, it is a beauty. As a sword, I'm not certain if the type of blade really fit the hilt and as the concept of the whole sword.

Stunning hist and stunning blade. I'm not hugely convinced they work together, but ive never been a huge lover of the flamberge aesthetic so that may be colouring my opinion

A truly beautiful piece. The patterning is exquisite a very accurately distributed. On such a large blade is exceptional.

At this rate; forge a blade for a messer, give it a hilt where all the features in the guard are contradictory, and call it an épée. Quite frankly, this is a mess. The assertion this is a rapier is dubious, with a blade that broad. Work's technically impressive, but as a rapier it isn't particularly stellar.
