I like the idea that House did die in that building and that Wilson, through a mix of a bunch of circumstances, how angry and devastated he is at getting cancer like we see he was, feeling abandoned by House, etc. that his health got much worse very rapidly, maybe collapsing at House's funerals about the time he got the text in the episode and the conclusion is how Wilson would've wanted things to be whilst dying. Not a happy ending, but less ass pulling than what actually happened and it would actually make sense imo.

A little bit of sympathy for season 7? (SPOILER ALERT) We saw how House behaves when he's in love (like an idiot around Cuddy). How vicious he becomes after it blows; it's the same House we know but everything is doubled. It leads his self-destruction to peak in "After Hours". And he finally became open with Cuddy in "Moving On," admitting he feels hurt. In the big picture, in season 6 and season 7, we saw House trying to change, keep being unhappy through the season, and get some results that save the day (because he was already at the end of his rope in the previous episode of Help Me). S7 starts with Now What? which was an excellent question. All the tension was resolved, and we entered unknown territory; everything seemed fine, with little struggles. Then, to reach the inevitable end with Bombshells, Cuddy just rejects House because he is House (not blaming her though). This leads to self-destruction, increasing tension, and the fall. It is the story of how House tried to change and failed. And becomes his unsustainable self again in Season 8. I'm not saying he learned nothing but I don't think he's way different than Season 5. Besides the final scene, crashing Cuddy's home, everything was perfect. It felt like After Hours was the final episode; almost everyone's story arc was completed in that episode. So they may try to top that with the crashing scene, but I can't say I like it. But until then, the final episode was quite good. Also, Master's arc was excellent. House says at the beginning of the arc, he wants to have the front seat when she crashes. Which is another prophecy that is realized through the season. And it just connects to, like in many seasons, you can't always get what you want. I can't say much about Season 8; introducing two new characters into the team is a difficult choice. And I don't think they're as good as Masters or any of the show's characters. It felt suck when House came back in the second episode. The hospital felt deserted. No one we know is around, House doesn't have any privileges. Even Wilson broke up with him (again). Still, there are some great episodes like Nobody's Fault. I'm still glad they have the final season, but it feels incomplete without Cuddy. I don't think Huddy got the end they deserved. They get just what they got... One thing about the show that I could criticize is too many people die. Amber, Kutner, and now Wilson. 13 also has a low life expectancy, so too much death for 8 seasons. It's just starting to become a formula to make the plot interesting. Only Amber's death was properly planned, and it's perfect. Kutner's death was unexpected, with the conclusion of no explanation (Simple Explanation with no explanation) and one of the leading factors of House's hallucination. I know Kal Penn has to leave, but they could send him away. They didn't have to kill him, so it was a choice. And finally, Wilson. Though his cancer episodes are great, I think it's a little bit too much death, and it becomes a plot device.

If I were to make this video, it would go something like this: “Is House the best TV character of all time? Yes. And I’m in love with him.” *the end*

I wonder if House’s lack of spirituality and belief in an afterlife doesn’t equate to low intelligence in that category. He’s very well reasoned and clearly thoughtful in his beliefs. I think his lack of interpersonal intelligence might be poisoning the well with that one.
@somewhereinthemiddle65347 күн бұрын
Agreed. It doesn't mean he's 'stupid' in that regard, it's that he's closed off, stubborn, and unable to be conscientious and think of other view points. Intelligence isn't just 'knowledge' or 'being quick'. It's being flexible, understanding, being able to understand other people's reasoning. House while he very well maybe RIGHT, doesn't mean he's as gifted in this realm as others. "Oh you believe in God? You're dumb." Yes, he's being sarcastic, but at the same time he's limiting himself but completely closing that door and not being able to be aware of even his own spirituality.

i don't know how many parts are there but i'm just gonna say that i loved how they ended the show with house driving into cuddy's home wilson says to the police "he will be in the darkest most depressing place in jersey" and camera cuts to house happy having a drink on a beach - great ending AND THEN they actually went for one extra season so they put everything in place as it was set by previous ending
@somewhereinthemiddle65347 күн бұрын
Three parts to this video! Lol. I actually never thought about ending the show with House torching Cuddy's place. I consider season 7 the weakest of the entire show, so I figured cut the arm off before the body dies, since season 6 had better closure points. But him running away as the closing out of the series is interesting - kind of similar to what would have happened after Wilson died.

The suicide episode really hit deep. I think as we grow older, we would experience that feelling at some point sadly. Already two friends i went to school with took their lives. It just leaves wondering, thinking, coming up with "solutions" too late. We're stuck with this unanswered questions, why? and "could i have helped? prevented it." we dont really get closure. its like we MUST figure out why in order to not repeat the same mistake. But what i love about the show, is that House, the guys who notices EVERYTHING, didnt see this coming. it eats at him because hes "supposed to" notice these things, its what he does. and yet he couldnt save the life of his colleague, and it bothers him that he failed. going as far as denying he even killed himself. and even I as a viewer was starting to go along with his theory, also denying that kutner couldve done that. But all it takes is ONE bad day. ONE bad week. ONE bad month. ONE bad year. some people feel their whole lives have been bad...
@somewhereinthemiddle653415 күн бұрын
Right! That's definitely what I love too. No one is perfect, not even him. The man that sees all missed something right in front of his eyes. And of course, suicide and ideation and warning signs aren't always there - which is unfortunately how life is. Great writing and great episode. Some of the must gut punching tv i've ever seen

Euphoria has to be one of my most memorable two part episode of any show EVER. I knew from watching one or two episodes while it was in its original release that Foreman does become Dean Of Medicine later in the series, so I knew Foreman had plot armour. However, still knowing that he lives still made this episode some of the most compelling episodes of the series. That is what good writing and acting is all about.

You're incorrect. Look it up. He uses it on the wrong leg, you're supposed to support your GOOD leg so it doesn't get worse, since it's taking more of the load. House does the opposite, he uses it to support his bad leg. This is wrong, even the showrunners talk about how they did this on purpose to further accentuate his renegade status. Trust me on this

The main issue with characters based on Sherlock, including house is that alot of the observations and conclusions made by them are never foreshadowed to the audience, the plot becomes a series of eureka moments half the time where some obscure piece of information is revealed last minute, after the character has come to their correct conclusion. This makes the characters come off as geniuses when observed at a surface level, but when broken down the plots are hairbrained and are based on shockvalue than a carefully put together mystery for the audience.

The doctor looked like a janitor, he was from the untouchables class, extremely discriminated in Japan, so the doctor didn't care to dress nicely...because he was the best, and still would be discriminated no matter how he dressed. Late to the party. But I'm curious to see you compare House to Becker. It's more Seinfeld than scrubs but I think it makes an interesting comparison.
@somewhereinthemiddle6534Ай бұрын
I don't think I've thought of or heard of Becker in like 15 years. For me, that was the show that came on before Steve Wilkos at like 11pm lol. I think if I were to make any type of comparison, Becker is what would happen if you took House and dropped him in a light-hearted comedy in that classic sitcom setting. And of course, making it a little more PG. Becker and House are both good at what they do but don't take anything seriously - except when it's needed. I should totalllly make a video talking about all the doctors on TV. Scrubs, Becker, House, the Resident, Grey's, ER, Good Doctor - and directly compare them all in regards to expertise, intelligence, bedside manner, experience. Damn you've given me a good idea :) hahaha
