Hi Sam, thank you for the great video! I have a question! I run the prospective CBO ads. 1 ad group is spending the most (more than 50%) in the CBO but the ROAS is below the average of the CBO ROAS for more than a week. (the CPM was low tho) What I did was turn that ad off and checked the results for about 4 days but CPM went up and ROAS was below the KPI. Should I turn that ad on again?

Sam, I know e-commerce brands struggle with scaling ads profitably , and I can help you amplify your results. If your ad copy isn’t driving the conversions you deserve, it’s likely missing the mark on targeting, urgency, or social proof. I specialize in crafting high-converting copy that speaks directly to your audience’s pain points, boosts engagement, and supercharges your campaigns. Let’s talk about how I can help you take your ads to the next level.

(Pardon me this comment got longer than I expected) I can't tell you how much this video helped me understand my issues, im running ad for my own business, I have a couple of questions if you can help me out with it. Actually I asked this on a couple of forums like reddit etc but haven't got a solution. About the business model : I have a business that primarily sells through DMs, the ads I run redirect people to our insta dm, there manychat bots handles the initial communication and then our team converts so on so forth. (I cannot take this to a website for now as w're new and the SKU is huge and in a market like India, even for an AOV of $30, people need assurance and human interaction before placing the order, along with the fact that the product is a personalised kind of thing, so people like to discuss what they want) My Question: 1. What is the best campaign objective for me, I tried everything honestly (Leads, sales, engagement), So far engagement have worked best for me but now im facing problem with attribution, optimisation that you get when sales happen on website. So which campaign type is best for a business like me? 2. Currently I was trying simple Csv file for updating the Conversions hoping that it would help optimise the campaign and get me the attribution but for engagement campaigns, I dont see any attribution happening even when I upload the data 12-24 hours of conversion. So I guess I need to integrate my CRM directly, currently my team is using Odoo but I dont see an option to link that directly, so what suggestion do you have to feed Facebook the data back for optimization? 3. And finally, I really want to use the structure you mentioned above, so for my business (who sells on instagram) Is there gonna be a difference in the structure? I have a customer list of around 1000 people, I want to utilise all but can't find the right path. I know this is a bit lot, expecting too much. but if you have the time, I'll be so glad if you can share your insights.

I hope you can help me with the following questions: 1)Are ASC and CBO campaigns created at the same time, or when I find the winning ads, I create ASC and move them there? --- 2) After I have 3 winning ads running on ASC, I continue testing and have 2 more winning ads, should I continue to move them to the previous ASC or create a new ASC to move them to? --- 3) Will there be competition issues if on one account I have 3 different ASC campaigns (same budget but different winning ads). Hi Sam, I tried your method a month now, I have a few problems: 1. when I add new ad set (broad pack n) it may interrupt the old well-performing ads, they stop generating sales, the new ads may work and beat the old ads, it may not work, then all the ads stop working when I add new ad set, what can I do to overcome this issue? 2. Is there any maximum number of ads in one scale campaign? I feel like more ads in it, less budget is allocated to each ad, and the number of audience it can reach shrinks, is it working this way? Thank you for this wonderful and detailed video (just subscribed). 2025 looks optimistic. I’m running ads for my small homemade brand on Shopify with limited sales and a small budget and have a few questions: 1. Should I start with broad targeting or focus on a defined audience for better initial results? 2. When is the right time to transition into an Advantage+ campaign, and what benchmarks should we look for? 3. If neither broad targeting nor Advantage+ campaigns perform, what troubleshooting steps would you recommend? 4. How can we optimise a small budget for testing targeting strategies and creative variations? 5. What’s the best way to test ad creatives when campaigns underperform? Note: I ran just Advantage plus shopping campaign with Catalog ad set but it didn't perform. Looking forward to your advice! 🙌

The approach for lead gen is a bit different than ecom. For lawyers or laser clinics, focus on videos that directly address the pain points of your audience. Look for content where the strategy revolves around trust-building, authority, or educating the viewer. In my content, the principles for testing and understanding your audience still apply-just shift focus to things like local targeting, reviews, or demonstrating expertise. You should test offers with strong calls to action or showcase results. Have you tried testing these elements before with your lead gen ads?

@SamPilieroКүн бұрын
high cpms at small budgets are pretty normal, especially with a broad audience like 8m. meta prioritizes competitive ad spaces, and small budgets don’t give you much leverage. instead of pumping out ads daily, try slowing down and running fewer but better-tested creatives. focus on angles that connect emotionally (e.g., sustainability, ethical sourcing for kids). also, consider narrowing your audience slightly-parents with specific age kids, for example. are your campaigns optimized for purchases or traffic right now?

for a multi-brand store, i’d focus on grouping similar products or brands by audience type. create separate campaigns for high-margin or top-selling brands, then test creatives that highlight the umbrella brand value (like variety or trust). make sure your retargeting ties back to the umbrella brand while letting prospecting highlight individual brands. how are you prioritizing the brands within your campaigns right now?

How are you setting these up on the ad level? Are you launching them as individual ads in one ad set or one ad with flex ads, so you're adding multiple creatives within one ad? I just updated my camping structure to your recommendations, so I am hoping for some lift in performance. Thanks for all the knowledge here. I truly appreciate it.
@SamPilieroКүн бұрын
glad the video helped! i test 10-20 creatives as individual ads within one ad set. this gives meta full control to pick winners. avoid flex ads because meta struggles to evenly distribute spend across variations. after a few days, kill the underperformers and double down on the ones driving results. how often are you testing fresh batches of creatives?
@johnpalmere6028Күн бұрын
@@SamPiliero I've heard in the industry and through meta directly recommendations to do no more than six ads per ad set, so I've been breaking it out in batches of 6 for my historic best performers, and for net new testing, I've been doing only 2 ads per ad set to force spend. As for new testing, I don't have a set schedule for testing new creative. It's a reactive play. When stuff is fatiguing, I start testing new ads. This is mainly due to a lack of time from being the business owner, media buyer, creative strategist, etc. I am looking to have a more consistent testing routine this year.

@SamPilieroКүн бұрын
this is normal. meta aggressively favors what’s working, but it doesn’t mean the other creatives are bad. at $300-$400 daily, you can force more balance by splitting the creatives into separate ad sets or campaigns to give them their own budget. once you scale, this will get easier to manage. are you seeing higher ROAS from the creatives that are getting spend?

Do you use other 3rd party websites / apps to even get better tracking data, as I heard sometimes the data inside the business ad manager can be not that accurate. 2. When does a metric hit the factor of getting into the graduation phase? Does it have to be at a certain point to get the best 10% of that adset and graduate them into the newer phase? 3. Is there a certain percentage how you'd scale up an ad? Like 25% when it hits an X amount of ROAS? Thanks!
@SamPilieroКүн бұрын
1. for better tracking, tools like triple whale or northbeam can help fill gaps in ad manager data. worth using if you want deeper attribution insights. 2. graduation happens when an ad consistently outperforms others on your core metrics (ROAS/CPA). no set percentage, but focus on clear, repeatable wins over multiple days. 3. scale by 20-30% every few days if ROAS is strong and stable. scaling too fast can kill performance. how do you handle scaling without burning out your winners?
