The MP5 having low recoil makes sense considering how close you're going to be firing it and the low damage from 9mm

The problem is it DOES have recoil, A LOT. It just doesn't climb.... If you're not an absolute bot and know how to pull down a bit, pretty much all the guns have about the same accuracy full auto. Only difference is the MP5 fires 9mm, so way less damage. There's really no reason to choose the MP5 over the other options you're given. Only time I'd even consider using an SMG is as insurgents because you're forced to for sapper, or for Turks to avoid using the battle rifle that forces you to play very slow. IMO they should give the MP5 a bit of verticle recoil, and reduce the overall recoil by like 50%... that screen shake is CRAZY

As a gamer who likes to land shots, I'd much rather have a little vertical recoil and less visual/horizontal recoil... The SMGs are just bad in this game compared 5.56/5.45 guns. If you know how to pull down a bit, the full auto sprays have about the same pattern except smg does less damage obviously, and no medium/long range capability. SMG bad

Hey technically not the first non-mod appearance of CAS in this game... there was that one patch where they "accidentally" introduced that busted huey CAS on some Skorpo layers.

The helicopters all have no armor. Little bird isn't bulletproof whatsoever and the ch-146 has no doors covering the pilot. It's also one of the weaker tanks in the game.

Desperately need optimization tbh. Been hearing this from everyone forever. id gladly delay having a new faction for a few months if it meant the game would run far more smoothly for a long period of time. The lack of optimization has to be squad's biggest immersion breaker, and good pc's are no exception to poor framerates and micro-stutters. especially with the scopes.

i have a feeling that actually we're going to see a lot of little birds being shot down. between the zsu, tanks, ifvs, 50 cals, 14.5mm and LAT kits, i reckon we'll see the CAS pilots do 1 rocket run, get shot down, lose however many tickets the little bird is worth and then spend 10 minutes at main waiting for it to respawn. supply helis get shot down all the time just resupplying near the enemy, not even flying directly over them.

Playing Arma: Reforger made me realize, how bare bones this game feels in some regards. Especially in terms of map design, Arma is far from perfect but it at least delivers a consistent, believable world which is worked out into the smallest details. It feels ironically more polished for an unpolished game than squad does. I also have the feeling that squads meta gameplay kinda feels restricted, leading to matches often still feel the same, even though it is theoretically also close to being a sandbox.

This basically made INS, VDV, and IMF the single most important factions in the game. They're the only ones with AA guns. The only match-up where this will not be a common occurence is China/WPMC, though I doubt it will be too skewed to one side or the other. In such a match-up like on Sanxian islands, I still think the PLA will be at a significant advantage due to high amphibious mobility and an abundance of armored capabilities that the WPMC won't have many options for.

Just played the new update last night for a few hours , the pmc faction is so busted pretty much if the team is somewhat competent they win the amount of gear they have and vehicle power compared to other factions. That little bird is busted although we did manage to outgun him and get lucky in a Blackhawk dodging rockets

the acog on the ak-101 still has the m4 front sight visible and the ak-101 (despite firing 5.56 irl) uses the ak74m damage curve. when i pointed that out, i got banned for 14 days in the squad discord server
